Was there a reason not to use a jumper? Something you saw, what was your deciding factor on your decision?... I'm making this repair soon and this is the only video so far that I haven't seen someone use a jumper.
Simply put; It didn't need one. It was not required and the phone continues to work to this day. If the line to the pad is broken or the pad is lifted, then a jumper is required. Some technicians may decide to put the jumper regardless over an abundance of caution. That is a judgment call you have to make.

If the line is broken or the pad is lifted then it needs a jumper and/or you can add the jumper out of an abundance of caution while you are in there. no problem.
Yeah my friend had this same problem with his phone and the company he’s with couldn’t figure it out he ended up trading his phone for a newer I phone but now I know how to fix it I just starting to learn how to repair phones thanks for your reply I like your video it was very helpful and easy to understand.
It does but you can replace the waterproof seal with with a brand new one and you’ll have The water resistance restored if you replace it water replacement seals for iPhones are cheap
I honestly think it depends. General online answers say anywhere between $90 and $300, but i think it depends on where you go, unless you go directly to Apple. However I refuse to pay $700 for Apple to fix it. There is only 1 phone repair in my area so I'm going to go up there and get a quote from them tomorrow and hopefully its cheaper then the places I've found that are out of my way which the closest one that's out of my way is 6 miles away and their price was $149.99 + tax. I've seen some other places that will do it for $100 but they all look sketch and I don't want to risk my phone becoming completely inoperable.
when i call someone it greys out but when i shut it down and restart it, it works again. and then it stops working after about an hour. can anyone please help me with some advice?

You mean the small wire going to point 2 right ?
Why? Why didn’t apple fit jumpers to start with? Don’t always need jumpers, they are not the answer to everything. People are obsessed with jumpers.

What if I just replace the back part of my phone where back camera would it fix the problem,or would replacing the ic chip be the only repair?
You need to replace or reflow the chip.
So right before you put the new chip on was that liquid flux that you put on there or sauder
That would be Flux

As long as you have a hot air station and are willing to practice then cheap is fine. You can always upgrade later if you want.
What’s the name of the tool you used to remove the flux or were you blowing heat on to it.

This could have been a complete waste if the c12 jumper was broken. Lucky fix I would say.
It's a decision not luck. Experience matters. If I needed the jumper I would have used the jumper. Phone still works to this day.
Phew!
