So much respect for this guy, Weekend is one of the most authentic romance dramas I've ever seen

"Weekend" has superseded all other gay-themed films I've ever seen to become my favorite. Overwhelmingly beautiful and simple...and honest. Andrew Haigh is superb.

Just discovered this movie and have fallen inlove with it. I'm searching for a proper soundtrack.

Yes.... this was not only brilliant but profoundly moving and painfully honest. Now if we could just find a few more such talented writers and the possibility to make films as professionally as Weekend then we won't need to use the term "gay film" anymore. When one goes to see a brilliant film as a rule we don't say "oh did you see that wonderful straight film with Judi Dench, or Sean Connery" etc. A good or brilliant film...... period. This was a brilliant film...... just happens to be about an encounter and emotional relationship between two men.

Saw Weekend last night in the Cork Film Festival. All I can say is thank you to Andrew Haigh. It was a brilliant love story, fantastic script, incredible cinematography and beautifully acted.

Talked to him today after watching Weekend! He's quite charming! I asked him about the Notting Hill reference in the movie. I was the only laughing in the cinema during that scene, since I got the reference after watching this interview! Unfortunately the Q&A directly after the movie wasn't as good as you would have wished it to be (not because of him, but the lack of creativity among the viewers). I just wanted him to talk on and on with his british accent. Like I said, quite the charming man!

This interview is a real missed opportunity... the interviewer has no idea. (yet i still watched 18 minutes of it...)

we need a part 2 - well overdue.... a 2nd movie is just WAITING, loads of storylines... coming back call from the US... meet or.. better still a surprise return... their loves / their careers / their issues .... back together and for once a happy ending with them making a life together..... come on SOMEONE WRITE TO SOMEONE and get a sequel written, I bet a Go Fund Me would get the cash - just like FreeFall 2 - I NEED THIS TO HAPPEN - we had CMBYN and we all know a part 2 is in the works... so lets get "THE SECOND WEEKEND" x

The interviewer loves to hear his own voice a little too much.
