That was something I really wanted to try and put into this since in the original he kind of just pops up, kills Annette, and then hops back out of the scene once Claire finds him. Really felt it needed to have more implied reasoning behind that. Took a bit of cutting the audio apart and splicing in sound effects from the game and stuff to get the audio suitable for reworking the scene to how it is here =) I was so happy the "wrestling with himself" bit turned out as good as it did ^_^
I've never been much of a hard-core Resident Evil fan, so I don't know the context of this scene - but I CAN see how much emotion you've captured in the characters, and the fluidity of the work itself. Outstanding work my friend, I hope you can keep making animations like this ^^
For an explanation, Annette, (along with William,) created the G-Virus, a mutagenic virus created for the purpose of advancing human evolution and funded by Umbrella Pharmaceuticals. William, however, had planed to leave Umbrella after creating the virus, and attempted to leave to another organization. (Likely the one Wesker of RE1 went to.) Before he could leave, he was intercepted by Umbrella agents, one of which being H.U.N.K. (Human Unit, Never Killed), A.K.A. "The Grim Reaper", and tried to force William to give up the virus to them, which he responded to with a gun pointed at them. Unfortunately, one of the soldiers had an itchy trigger-finger, and "accidentally" shot William to near-death. The unit took the case of G-Virus samples, save for one that William had on him, and fled. With the last of his strength, William injected himself with the virus, saving his life, but turning him into a monster. Enraged and transforming, William chased after the unit, and killed all but H.U.N.K., all the while causing the Raccoon City zombie outbreak. Claire, (the other woman,) arrived in the city days later to find her brother Chris, only to end up fighting for her life against the numerous zombies and monsters, eventually finding Annette and William's daughter, Sherry. However, during their escape from the city, William, (in his mutated form,) implanted G-Virus embryos into Sherry, infecting her with the virus. Claire, now racing against time, found herself in the underground Umbrella labs, hoping to find the cure, which is when this scene occurs.
I actually started to choke up a bit, you did a great job with Annette’s facial animations and how they would switch when she switched which family member was thinking/talking about
@@benortiz8702 That would be nice =D unfortunately I've never been able to figure out the magic button to press that makes things become popular. But people that do see it I guess always seem to like it at least ^_^
Wow this is amazing. You said this was really exstensive animation and I see how. I love how menacing Birkin looks compared to Claire and Annette. RE 2 1998 is my favorite RE game so this was nice to see, wish there were more RE 2 '98 animations. I would love to see either Leon A or Leon B Ada 'death' scene in your animation style since you do facial expressions so well.
if i had the time I'd wanna reanimate all sorts of stuff from the older games ^_^ one scene I've always wanted to animate is the fight between Wesker and Chris in Code Veronica.
@@edward18517That sounds like an epic scene to recreate, hopefully sometime in the future whenever you have the free time and motivation you can animate it
The rotating camera angles just before Birkin attacked his wife was really impressive. Great job Ed.
Thanks =D That part took forever to do ^_^;
Cool it's reminded me of a 2 headed kind of monster
William realizing what he did with the small amount of humanity he has left was such a nice touch

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it =D Yeah she was easily the most expressive character of the animation with how "crazy" she was by that point ^_^
That “crazyness” in the original was why I loved her so much in og, and you captured that perfectly.
This deserves way more views

Sheeesh this animation is so fluid the amount of facial expressions in each frame is mind blowing 😳. Amazing job
Thanks ^_^ tried to make it as lively as possible =D
This turned out awesome, dude! You can definitely see how much work went into it!! Awesome job!!!

Dang Edward, that was nuts man

Interesting camera work and good Birkin art. The eyes moving as much as mouths every frame is unnerving though.
