Loved this. I need so much help with paperwork. There are so many emotions and stress wrapped up in this area for me. I don't feel like enough people focus on this area when teaching fly lady. Subscribed.

I think the most important point you made was that you can only take two or three seconds per sheet. That will help you make a quick decision and will help you to know if it is something that is truly worth keeping. If it is something worth keeping, you will usually know it right away. It is when we sit and think and think about something that we often end up keeping things that we don’t need. Thanks for the reminder, Kat!

Off topic, but your hair looks gorgeous here. Great length and style on you! I agree with the method you describe. Been doing it for years and can't imagine any other way. Even when I was newly widowed, had two young children, worked twelve hour days, and was beyond exhausted, this method was doable and vital to keeping things moving effectively forward. When I saw friends toss their mail in a heap everyday, it actually made me feel like I went into a panic mode for them!

is so simple yet we all complicate it! jeez that kid inside of us again! I made up mi mind that action files are going to be located in my command control center, the files needing filing in a file right in front of all the files (will take care of that on ITS DAY), and trash to trash! I also have a portable bag in my purse. All that needs to be shredded I am taking to my office in that bag. I am still working on my paper clutter 1" at a time and is working wonders!

My coworker has her children keep all there papers and projects in a bin in the bottom of their closet. At the end of each school year they look forward to a bon fire in their backyard were they burn it! Of course while they were small they just got to watch, now that they are high school and college age they invite friends over for the end of the school year burning.

I prefer to file it ASAP. If I make a to-file pile it sits forever.

My neighbor and I are on a year long mission of getting our houses in order. We originally tried to start this 10 yrs ago. (unbelievable) I found fly lady and we have been following. Do you have a group of women that you get together with and mentor?
    This is super challenging !
    Thanks for your videos.
