There's a manga, but the characters have no personality in-game besides what their sprite can offer. Poniko is shown in game to seem upset or disappointed, despite living in by far the most happy-looking section of the world and being surrounded by party hats. Even though she is the most "human" being besides Madotsuki herself, Poniko does not ever speak to Madotsuki. Madotsuki in the manga, when she sees Poniko, thinks that she's very cute and wonders if she wants to be friends with her (as far as we know, Mado spends 100% of her time in the real world completely alone.) Monoko and Monoe are also completely without personality, other than becoming deformed and growing extra arms when shown the Stop light, and so must be deformed just like all the other inhabitants. Poniko, as we all know, transforms into Uboa when the lightswitch is turned off, but no one knows why the fuck that happens. Personally, I think Poniko represents "popular girls" because she lives in a beautiful house surrounded by party equipment. That's why Mado wants to be friends with her so much. She apparently does not care about Mado at all and always looks away, which could be a subconscious fear of the "popular girls" thinking you're a loser. Her transformation into Uboa could also be a manifestation of the idea that the popular girls are actually monsters inside, and that's why they can pretend to be so likable and become popular in the first place.

Bob Saget Yume Nikki was made from RPG Maker 2003 and Undertale was made from Gamemaker. Toby Fox did play Yume Nikki before. And he probably got Madotuski's design on Frisk. And go look up Uboa. I'm sure W.D Ghaster was inspiration from Yume Nikki too. And it's sad that I mostly see Undertale comments even though I still love that game. :/

Bob Saget Yume Nikki was made from RPG Maker 2003 and Undertale was made from Gamemaker. Toby Fox did play Yume Nikki before. And he probably got Madotuski's design on Frisk. And go look up Uboa. I'm sure W.D Ghaster was inspiration from Yume Nikki too. And it's sad that I mostly see Undertale comments even though I still love that game. :/
