Pro tip from a LA Korean. You’re allowed to adjust the flame level. Unless it’s a full service kbbq like Baekjong you will always be better served turning it down.

There are 3 Korean restaurants on one street where I live.
I love Korean food. Sometimes when I am by myself I have to say "No ban chan" because I just can't eat it all.
That price is very reasonable. I may have to try it soon. I haven’t had Korean bbq in years, this is making me want to go try it out again 😊

Good to see this place being reviewed. Been to this Gen many times and a few times a year would schedule a group luncheon or dinner with my friends and co-workers. There is actually a smaller Gen that is near this one too.
The pineapple steak is always good and juicy. The chicken is good but takes longer to cook. Somehow I never tried the fried fish that you had but will try that next time.

Looks delish! Fire was a surprise. 😮😮. Gen was our go-to Korean bbq place until we recently discovered KOREANA GRILL in Riverside CA.

My wife and I love Korean BBQ. But, maybe talk and grill at the same time. We love it when the grill gets char on it. It helps to get char on the meat. And sauce, where are the sauces?? Sauce the meat while it's cooking! (What a bummer the employee put dirty towels all over your food). I would think you would know how to do Korean BBQ. 😮 We went to this place on Saratoga Ave in San Jose CA it was terrible. It was the worst experience we've had at a Korean BBQ.

I like going to Gen kbbq. The only thing that bothers me with Gen is they don't have steamed egg on their menu that I've seen in all the Las Vegas locations. Kinda wish they had steamed egg but beyond that point, I do like Gen
Been to that location a few times. The only issue I have is that the worker told us that we have an hour and a half time limit and they were fairly slow in bringing us the food. That's my only beef, pardon the pun, lol
Hmm.. There is a time limit, but no one said nothing to us about it. Maybe because it wasn't too crowded during the week.

1) turn the heat down, you should not need grill changes so often. Your meat should not be burning (or catching fire lol)
2) put more meat on at once so it doesn’t burn. Your entire platter of raw meat should be placed on it!

When you go to a Korean bbq, you shouldn’t leave the grill empty. It will over heat and flame up

I ate at the Frisco, TX location and it was delicious! We don't have many all you can eat Korean BBQ in Seattle, but Gen is a great place to pig out! 🤪

We love going the GEN location in the OC. Its very tasty and it always seems very crowded. Definitely a great deal. My pro tip: Try and eat as much meat as you can vs all the carby foods. But sometimes you definitely gotta have your gohan 😁

Hello, well everything you ordered looks so delicious we do have something similar to that in Chicago only gold maybe once a year with a group of people is always a lot of fun I really enjoyed your also we did go to Vegas for our anniversary we checked out some of the places you suggested it was very good we enjoyed ourself we stayed at the MGM and I played roulette and won 5 thousand there's a first time for everything how about that🎉

We have a GEN in Pearlridge Mall on Oahu. Close to where I live, but the lines are pretty long. We will have to go when they first open and try them out for sure! Yeah, I don't think the fire was supposed to be that hot enough to start a fire. Good composure by the both of you.
Lucky you get to live there. Hawaii is more expensive to live than CA!

Do they serve Ssamjang fermented bean paste with it or do you guys just not like that condiment? That's our favorite addition to the lettuce wrapped beef "sandwich." We like to grill some garlic with the beef too. Do they offer that option as well? We also enjoy wrapping the meat in Ssam-mu, a pickled radish paper. We'll be in Vegas next week and would love to go to Gen as long as they have our favorites. That beef belly looked fantastic, BTW. We're older and don't eat that much anymore, so hate to spend a fortune if we're only going to get maybe 4 meat courses. That $28.99 price point sounds great.

I could tell by the way the first few meats were grilling (very uneven) that there was something wrong with the grill.
Have you guys tried 92K korean BBQ in Torrance? It’s new, the best kbbq in Town. I used to go Gen, no more after 92k. Ban Chan salad bar is a big plus! You will love that place!
