I was eleven when the '62 series was played. To this day i still remember my grandfather laughing at the Game 4 headlines: "(Tom) Haller, (Chuck) Hiller, Hallaelujah, and the ((Marshall) Bridges came tumbling down"!
The World Series was _it_ back then. March Madness was obscure, the Super Bowl was undreamt of, the NBA finals was a two or three city affair. The World Series was the national sports coming together.
This is a terrific film .
Great series.
Just finished listening to the radio call of game seven yesterday. What a game and series. Two very evenly matched ball clubs.
Awesome series.
Awesome baseball.
Classic series.

And it was all done well before Halloween.
Great, great series! Recall how paper thin the margin of victory.
The weather looked better back then.I wonder if Alcatraz had yard so they could hear the game
If only McCovey's liner had gotten by Richardson, Mays would have scored the winning run in Game 7.
