That's awesome Donny! Man....I love film. I used to do a lot of graphics work and developing back in the day. there's such a classic warm look achieved with gear like this. I've got an old Super 8 of my Grandparents. Had it quite a while and not sure if it works as they had it stored away for some years as well, and I'm positive it will need a new power pack....You've inspired me to pull it out of my locker for a look. good luck with the footage. hope it turns out real well. Looking forward to seeing it after it's converted.
Hi Donny. My parents used to have an 8 millimeter camera. For some reason it wouldn't let me touch it. I wonder why? I can't wait to see the final video. I know it will be awesome....
Awesome Donny! real super 8.... brings back memories. Next try cameras before super 8.... regular 8, like we used in 1970. Big smile. Two thumbs up (one from each of my channels .... one is a secret channel) ken
Cool video. I think it's really awesome that you are experimenting with analog film. I hope it turns out well. I have a few old 8mm & Super8 cameras. I'm not sure if any of them work well.
proudtobeautistic I've not used a 518, but I've had a look at a PDF manual for it and it appears to have the correct size remote socket. If so, it'll work.
Hey Donny, thanks a lot for you're help I'm definitely getting a neewer intervalometer for my super 8. I just have one more question is the socket size/ jack of your camera and intervalomter 3.5mm or 2.5mm?
It's too bad you only had one roll of film, it would have awesome if you had been able to get a shot of that sheep and some shots of those buildings. Especially that one building that appeArs to be an ancient church, just curious was this shot in early fall and where's the location of this river?
AnthonyFreemont ah I'm not sure now, but it was an old one that was given to my dad, doubt you'd find one anywhere these days, especially as I can't remember the brand....maybe velbon...not sure, but I don't have it anymore.
Lovely peaceful video Donny. Hope the super 8 turns out ok. I love the ticking noise that proper film cameras make.
Sandy
The footage you took of taking the footage was awesome in itself
Beautiful!
That was great Donny thanks for sharing atb John
Hi Donny. Awesome film. I have the same camera and intervalometer but can't seem to get it to work. How did you get the two to work together?
They just worked I think, not sure I did anything special, just plugged in, but it was a while back!

+Shane JB Thanks Shane. Yeah, dig that camera out, see if it works! It was fun using something like this, that is much older than I am lol.
Nice. Hope you post it when you get it processed.
+Deep South Experience Yeah, I'll be sharing it here. Hopefully it'll be an interesting little video.

Hi Donny, awesome video I was wondering will a neewer intervelometer like the one you have work on a Canon 518 auto zoom?

It's 2.5mm, just like my Canon 550D.

Hi Donny I was wondering what brand of tripod did you use?
