I love my aeros pillow!! Recently I picked up The Big Blue Mtn pillows. They are super soft and slightly larger than aeros and you get 2 for $20. Now I'm taking both out on my hikes.
Every video you make is pure entertainment to me. Educational as well. You have helped my back pack become lighter and more efficient. And I to have a special place for bacon. Thumbs up walker!

Looks like this video is at least 5 years old. But still very relevant to this particular Sea to Summit Areos Premium Large Pillow. I just picked one up from my local REI store when they were having some pretty good discounts. On just about everything in the camping and hiking section. Though I do have a few other brands of camping pillows from Klymit and even Ozark Trail. This Sea to Summit Premium Large Pillow is not only very light and easy to pack in my backpack. It is definitely the most comfortable one out of the rest of my camping pillows!

Good review. As with back pack camping, motorcycle camping, space is at a premium. My issue/experience with blow up pillows so far is that they tend to slide out from under my head unless secured somehow. Which leads to constant adjustments during the night resulting in waking up multiple times to re adjust the pillow. The therm-a-rest pillow looks like it might be a decent compromise between space saving and a regular pillow that may not slide around as much as a blow up pillow. At 72 I have to have a few more "creature comforts" than I did when I was younger to include a Helinox backpacking cot, chair and and some sort of pillow. Thanks for the review.
It depends. This seems sliding resistant though if conditions are right in terms of angle and inflation it can happen when sleeping on the ground. Just depends. In the hammock it's not an issue for me. Thanks for watching!
The aeros pillow does not have the same issues as previous inflatable pillows in this respect. It really is a premium product. It is the only travel pillow I've ever found that comes close to being a comparable replacement to my home pillow. I take this pillow with me everywhere I'm planning a night away from home, even in hotels, because its better than a lot of hotel pillows.
Wanna know an Army Reservists' opinion on what the best camping pillow is? Well, all I ended up taking on a bivouac is a very nice cotton pillowcase from home, and upon arriving at camp and setting up for sleep, I would stuff it with my folded jacket as a first layer and softer undergarments as a top layer where my head rests against - My idea caught on so well that the rest of the regiment began doing this, considering it has the added benefit of warming up your next day's clothing. The other big plus is that it only costs as much as a cotton pillowcase which folds down VERY small into your bergen.
Just bought the exact same pillow after my last SAR deployment trying to use a pair of pants in a stuff sack for a pillow. Haven't actually slept on it yet but just laying on it.... waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.
4 oz and packs down to the size of a baseball, what's not too like! I've had the same pillow but in blue for about 2 years and it definitely makes things more comfortable in the field. I find I have to get it to an exact level of inflation to be comfortable but that's individual preference. Great review and Mmmmm....bacon......
I love the sea to summit aeros pillow,most comfy backpacking pillow I've found yet...til it gets a leak.I bought one,2nd trip with it,it started leaking.I messaged sea to summit...they told me to hold it under water/take and send pics.Not sure what that was supposed to determine,since you cant see the bladder inside the cloth cover.they determined it was a puncture,idk how because it had not been near anything sharp,and you cant see hole thru cloth cover.they said they do not cover punctures in warranty,but said they would anyway,which was nice of them.i order large aeros pillow while waiting on the replacement. Large one started leaking on second trip!I'm on third one now,the replacement of the first.so far so good.but 2 out of 3?!
The neck knife that was made by Wolf Creek Forge. It's actually a PSK knife heat treated to work good as a Flint and Steel striker off quartz. I have a bunch of WCF striker and PSK knives. They're custom made and economical. Thanks foe watching.
The outside isn't plastic rather a soft material so it didn't seem noisy to me at all however next time I am camping will see if there is an issue though never noticed a noise issue but then again I tend to crash hard on the trail.
MegaWoodswalker I had an Exped UL air pillow that seemed had a crinkly material that made a lot of noise. Ended up going with the regular air pillow that was pretty quite. Might try the Sea to summit next time I stop at Rei.
I slept using the pillow the other night and yes it does have some crinkle sounds. Never noticed it before as it doesn't bother me however everyone has different tolerances for different things. For example I hate heights. LOL!
They're a good pillow I had one myself, but they're too overpriced (here in UK). Mine got punctured (tried repairing) so reluctantly disposed of it. Now? Cheap, almost as good, pillows from China. Multiple items for peanuts cost. Doesn't impact so much if punctured. Only other nitpick would be for the S2S to have a little more height.
So far mine is good. Really comfortable however you're right about the risk of anything holding air. Nature will find a way sooner or later.Thanks for watching!
Heck, bears are scary and I can relate. , Right hear in Northern NJ,I have been harassed and even violently approached by some aggressive coyotes. In broad daylight! I had to scream and have sticks, throwing them into their way, to back them up. The Bells Have Helped! Stay Safe
Why are Americans starting to have more and more excessive facial expressions? Is it needed for the messages to go through, get heard or get enough attention? The heightened eyebrows and big popping eye movements makes people look crazy or on something I would not want to be on.

Looks good in hammock but how about on flat surface or pressure difference when it’s cold in a hot tent?
