I have tactacam reveal gen 1 cameras and I had no real issues with battery life using AA lithium (about 4 months) I then added a couple tactacam solar panels to cameras in hard to reach sensitive areas for deer hunting. This was a very shaded area and I didn’t give it much thought to be honest. After about 2 weeks with the panels in place and a fresh set of AA batteries I started getting low battery notifications. This has happened multiple times now and the cameras won’t get more than two weeks on a set of lithium batteries. 3-4 days on alkaline. I’ve updated to the latest firmware. Tactacam customer support said I needed to send the cameras in for service. Would you have any suggestions to try before I send in the cameras?
Thanks so much for the support. I'm working on it. No timeline yet. I don't see it happening this season, though. It will also be a higher end model if it does come to fruition.
Thanks for the video! BTW customer service is top notch. Ordered a Reveal 2.0 starter pack and an extra Solar Power pack for my other cam. Now if we can just do something about that Georgia hat! RTR!!! LOL appreciate ya!

@samrichmond2940 I guess my question would be, does battery life without the panels go back to normal? The Tactacam panels are pretty small to begin with so any shade really makes it almost impossible for them to recharge their internal battery while connected to a camera.
@ no the removal of the panels did not revert the cameras to the previous battery life capacity. I’m considering building the ammo boxes since I hunt private property and don’t have to worry much about theft.
Best in the game.i have 4 of these and some in Vary shaded spots and i have never had to recharge them since owning them.
