    Pretty cool way to do it if you're simulating viewing from space, but how about if you wanted to make it look like it was viewed from Earth? The big orb would have to be the sun and the moon would pass it front of it. Would love to see a tutorial with this reversal.

      Yeah that's a good point. Like I told the other guy, if you literally set keyframes for the moon instead of the sun the exact same effect can be achieved. You'd of course probably want to add in the blue sky, clouds, etc, but the concept would remain pretty much the same.

      Yeah I was thinking the same thing and was going to try it like that. Thanks for the response!

      Yeah I think the sun would be the same size if you did this.

    I don't know if you're a believer in God or not, but your tutorials always remind me of the words of Jesus: "You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand" (John 13:7). There are so many times in watching your tutorials where I ask "Why did he do that?" or "Why didn't he do it this way?", but later on it all makes sense and comes together looking good. Keep up the good work. I'm learning a lot from you

    Why is the sun moving?

    • @curiousrefuge
      @curiousrefuge  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a simulated eclipse from space, but you could literally do the exact same technique with the moon moving instead of the sun if you wanted to. The tutorial would almost be identical. Just set the keyframes on the moon instead of the sun.

    Is this meant to be proof of a flat Earth? the shading does not change around the foreground object..

    actually, when I watched your tutorial, one thing makes me really struggle.... when I turn 3D, mode would gone. I can't choose Add or Screen anymore.... I don't know why.
