I really can't judge, my first playthrough I abused nabbit and took advantage of the shortcuts, meaning I played a grand total of maybe 20 levels. Next time through I went back and did a proper run as luigi.

But as you don't do every block etc. you don't know what powerups are in each for every level i.e. I loved the old Prima guide in book form as it gave an intro on each character and their strengths, the baddies, and each level map and walkthrough showed pictorally what powerup was in each block etc. I am in awe that this player never dies but alas, my skills are not that good so rely on not just seeing someone else 'do' a particular move, but be able to read the instructions on how to do it etc..... I know Prima stopped producing book guides last year but does anyone know if they did one for this game before stopping?? Thanks
They did do one for this game. A shorter (pdf) version is available on Nintendo’s website; you have to use around 750 silver coins to “buy” it. It’s a short pdf version of it. I got it. It’s nice. Didn’t know about these books. Only way to buy them in their entirety is through 3rd party places. No thanks.

I noticed something: the water world is world 3 and the snow world is world 4 in this game. But on the wii, the snow world is world 3 and the water world is world 4.
Flight of the parabeetles sucks. I'm also not a big fan of some of the world nine levels (looking at you, swim for your life). Excluding that, this game is great.
My only problem with the bowser battle is that I feel like bowsers too easy, like they need to buff him and put your skills to the test. But great video overall
I don’t think it was a good idea to port this game. It was a very unoriginal game with few changes that only made the game worse. If that’s all there is to it then unless you don’t have a Wii U, I wouldn’t recommend buying this. I was hoping this would be a more original game.
