Thats why we have the lob-dcr reprints with the new Konami logo because i remember when the first 5 sets were going out of print. There's no reason for Konami to have a "vault" with yugioh cards in it. They can just make them🤷♂️
My memory is similar to yours- I also pulled Millennium Shield from a McDonald's pack. The story- I started collecting Yugioh earlier that year in Elementary School (2002). These came out in December of that year and my family was on our way to my grandparents house (about 1.5 hrs away) for a Christmas Party. We stopped at McDonald's for lunch and I got the Mighty Kids Meal, and in my pack was the Millennium Shield! I was stoked because I had recently just seen the Anime Episode when Rebecca Hawkins used that card against Yugi. Great memories, I still have the card in my collection, and it is priceless to me cause of the memory.

My aunt used to work at McDonald’s as a manager when the packs came out and she gave me quite a few packs! Back when yugioh was the bees knees!!! I just got back into goat format myself and went 7-2 in the 9 duels I did. Love your videos man!!
These packs were printed in 3 different batches. One only had Millenium Shield, one only had Cosmo Queen and one was mixed. If these packs all came from the same distributor, it would be under one of those batches.

Awesome, I didn’t know millennium shield had a different artwork for this. I missed the first run of MD packs but I definitely got a lot of the mdp2 as a kid to get the exclusive elemental hero and la jinn artwork and fusions. There’s some interesting exclusives there
My only memory of the McDonald's packs was being sad because they weren't available where I live. Just last year though I started trying to track the whole set down in local stores. Still missing a couple, but I'm getting there!
I've never seen a Macdonald pack, because back then in Italy Macdonald wasn't on every big cities like now. Fortunately most of Italians aren't fans of fast foods, we have a big culture about food, much more than pasta, pizza and gelato. Those Macdonald's packs are cool though... I'm glad that you have such good memories about the game in your childhood!!

Here in the U.S you at some mcdonalds you can walk up to the counter and just buy a bunch of the toys. My dad used to do that back in the day when the new toys would come out because me and my siblings would fight over them so he would go to a mcdonalds and buy 1 of each toy for us lol.

I have crazy memories of these packs, I remember getting cosmo queen with the Kiaba CD I still have the original cosmo queen to. Ended up finding a mint condition happy meals kid bag that had exodia and yugi on it for the design that came with a sealed cd with the cards for like 20 bucks a few years ago. Obviously bought it, didn't pull anything but its really cool to have one of those happy kid yugioh bags in mint condition
I had a buddy whos brother worked at mcds during this era. He stole probably 1000 packs and give em to us. We had so many of the yugioh cds they done too.
I once work at McDonald's and I can confirm that when the packs are replaced with other toys they get stuck in the storage and that's a free for all for all the employees. Also I got like 5 whole decks cause of it haha

McDonalds toys- such a great marketing technique cause as a kid it meant so much to get one. I loved the mystery of the blank pack art.

I love this set tbh; not only nostalgic but the art for cosmo queen and shield are sweet as well as yaranzo and piercing light.
Dark Piercing Light, Millenium Shield, Cosmo Queen, and Goddess of Whim were actually very good cards at the time.

Millenium Shield from the mcdonalds pack is also one of my favorite Yugioh artworks ever and sadly never owned it.
It was the only reason why I was eating at McDonald's, such great memories!
I don't have any memorie about these cause I didnt have McDonalds in my town at that time. But I'm so happy to see these packs be opened! Awesome vid man!

I remember getting these in elementary school at random when we went to McDonald's. My brother and I were dumb and didn't know much on rarity but I used Turtle Bird like there was no tomorrow xD
I remember begging my mother to bring me to mcdonalds to get the yugioh cards out of the happy meal. my first happy meal I got a Cosmo queen. granted the card is trashed now I still have it in my collection. so cool seeing a bunch of these packs opened. awesome vid ruxin

AAAAND WE'RE AT 20K! Yeah, congrats! There was no McDonald's yugioh packs here that I can remember... here there was toys, I think. But not the same as the ones Jobber opened in his video. These are really nice! The quality of the cards is amazing, if you compare it to a new card it's like night and day. And the state is really really good!

I remember pulling millennium shield as a kid and cosmo queen (had to beg my parents to go to McDonald’s all the time) and I used them in my deck. All the nostalgia
These take me way back! I have so many memories with these. I remember a kid in my school had the Millennium Shield and Cosmo Queen, I traded for the Millennium Shield, loved that card. But then it got stolen (sad day).
I have crazy memories of these packs, I remember getting cosmo queen with the Kiaba CD I still have the original cosmo queen to. Ended up finding a mint condition happy meals kid bag that had exodia and yugi on it for the design that came with a sealed cd with the cards for like 20 bucks a few years ago. Obviously bought it, didn't pull anything but its really cool to have one of those happy kid yugioh bags in mint condition

I had a buddy whos brother worked at mcds during this era. He stole probably 1000 packs and give em to us. We had so many of the yugioh cds they done too.
I once work at McDonald's and I can confirm that when the packs are replaced with other toys they get stuck in the storage and that's a free for all for all the employees. Also I got like 5 whole decks cause of it haha
