Nescafé basement is more about young talent and sweet more melodious harmonies and voices and coke studio on their hand handles with more tending and and people who are already experienced in Pakistan music industry. They both are representing Pakistan and are fabulous at their work so stop comparing them. Peace🙏🏻

Many of us who are recently started following Nescafe Basement they do not know it is actually fifth season. Why i am writing this? The reason is simple today we listening to Shahzad Ali for great performance. But what is his future?. Who will invest in this industry to have music production house like T-series, Red- chillies, Sony Music, T-music or Zee Music? Who will launch their albums? Who will become reason of their bread and butter? Who deleted the videos of previous performance from Nescafe basement? OR they will become forgotten souls like Rizwan Anwar, Rizwan Butt, Hamza Tanvir, Sibtain Khalid, Mehak Ali, Faraz Nayyar, who can forget the best tribute performance of Kitni Sadiyan to Faraz Anwar where more than 10 best singer performed together and last not least Zeshan Ali. And Many more talented youngsters. We viewer are just here for useless comments. Everyone want to become critique of Composer and musicians. But why not we come forward and create platform for them. Why not we take inspiration and become poets. Why don't we become reason of marketing at facebook and other social media platforms? I asked many question, very few of you know the young talented musician of Pakistan. They need platforms, they need music production house, those who can support to launch their music. Because of these production houses, they can give job to writers, poets, musician and give them umbrella of labels to launch their work. Last not least media should know they can earn more than news channels if they launch these talented people. I don't need likes. But i hope some one will take my message as motivational step to work for young talent and of course they will earn money too.
Like Pakistanis were making Albums on Albums before Nescafe or Coke. Any platform no matter what, should be available and should be appreciated. I agree with you partly, criticism has it effects. Criticize the industry, not the only hope.
Its not that dark my friend, mostly the people who are performing in NB are university students or people who have a proper 9 to 5 job, they do a little gig here and there, people who make it their full time job make it big like bayaan, soch, momina mustehsan etc. There is a lot of saturation in this field now and you have no idea how much raw talent is still waiting to get a break.

But i am music lover, i know alot about young talent is being groomed by different level of musician, zia ul haq ( sur tal academy is just one of them), you can check Javed Sab and other great ustaad youtube pages. Similarly self made singer and musician as well ( who work and enjoy music as hobby). But if you kindly read my concerns in above comment. They all need grooming, they need senior musician, they need senior poets and rearrangement of their own composition. They cannot do on their own and they need platforms and music production house ( e.g., T-series etc) . Thanks to Coke studio, Nescafe basement, Pepsi battle of the band and Strepsil stereo they are guiding those raw talent. But not every young girl or boy is as lucky as Momina (May be raw talent is more talented than Momina). So, music production houses may encourage that group of young musician who leave music arena after their graduation, they can seriously try music as career. Specially those young boys and girl who left their music due to family pressure and social needs.

Cz in my opinion, coke studio is all about singers who already have been singing for 20 or 30 year. They have established themselves as perfectionists but the reason why i like nescafe basement is they are all new young group of boys, girls and even kids this time with unique talent and another level of energy n freshness which seems out of this world !!! We really need poets in these days. Luckily pakistan is already blessed with endless talent of singing and their music composition skills are highly admirable n underrated.
