Very nice video. The example of S&P's history and its travails was an eye opener. The bad story of the Japanese stock market is well known to reasonably educated investors like me, but not the real story of the stagnation of the S&P for almost 15+ years. Thank you for posting this video. It is a breath of fresh air in the drunken smoke filled bar of the stock markets in today's world, where I too am partying knowing fully well that the music will stop soon but not sure when and how....

Bull markets defy logic, Economics, common sense and it has no correlation with true economic growth. It's only a result of human greed and a symptom of anemic growth without no relation to GDP. Stock market indices will have to be taken with a pinch of salt and doesn't represent the growth of development and economy.

Excellent explanation of the risks. There is a feeling that this bull market will last due to earnings upgrades. I am also getting sucked into this narration, as many "experts" I admire are saying India is secular growth story. All it takes is for something to change this narrative, and suddenly our financial stability is exposed to risks. So important to be prudent and follow asset allocation, like you have mentioned.

As usual excellent explanation.Pounts to ponder: markets are increasing because too much USD has been printed. If govt puts a halt on the liquid cash where will the already in circulation cash go ? Fixed income right ? Next where will be the fixed income institutions invest this money to get the returns ? Again it has to come to markets or gold or real estate. So mostly this elevated market index will be the new norm and if correction happens it will be mostly at the max 15% which will be again an opportunity to invest.
Your thoughts Bhat Sir on the above.

I know question is for Bhat Sir. I am placing my opinion on current situation. Huge money will go to bull Market operators. Huge losses will be on retail investors who have not experienced correction before. Money will eventually flow back to market but most of the times, beneficiaries will be operators, institutional investors, both domestic and foreign. Correction can happen more than 15% as well. Its just an assumption that is going on these days due to over optimism that market will recover soon or correction will be limited.

Is there no control on printing ?
For example they have to keep that much in form of gold in treasury?

Compliments from London. Very much impressed with the way you explained it. Actually new retailers have created pseudo demand in market to hype up prices , a pump of retail money in cyclic fashion has created a bubble and huge gap from real valuation of stocks. TH-cam & media has played a big role to make retailer believe to buy on dips .
If a sharp crash comes , huge panic of new comers will cause biggest ever damage of market which will be a case study itself. Smart people are almost out of market now.

In our case Indian economy is still in emerging stages. So don't compare it with Japanese market. If you keep invest in good fundamental business in Indian market like Asian paints, Hdfc Bank, Bajaj finance, Pidilite etc, then after some time (10-15 years) you will be definitely make some good wealth I think. Very nice. Broadly agree with everything. But USA -Japan analogy is a bit problematic. Japanese industry was dominated by traditional sectors like Auto and Banking. But America is at the forefront of technology. It had Tesla, FANG companies etc which give it an immense technological advantage. This also boosted it's markets in the past. Cultural capital is another factor. America still attracts best human talent globally because of its open environment. As long as it is able to Innovate in the new age technologies like 5G , AI etc it has little risk of being left behind. And so far there is no indication that it is losing its technological competitiveness. So the growth story may continue even after crashes and corrections

Thank you for a great video on a crucial concept of market cycles by taking the reference of the world markets with various aspects by perfectly cautioning about the potential results than may happen in near time. Lot of great performing stocks (like Alibaba group/any) may not be listed in stock market Index of China and the index might be changed now and then many times (Ex: Yes bank removed from Banknifty at certain point of fall) in the core Shangai Index which may also caused this unhealthy appreciation over long time. Also all the bad indexes in your example in the video are from China. I'm not sure whether India is going to indirectly or directly follow the Chinese economy with the world market as a duplicate. As of now we have a great FII (Foreign Institutional Investors) Liquidity inflow with a larger percentage which is propelling the market higher by a lot. After the bull run of 2008, we exactly followed the USA markets and overall global markets trend until now except China. As you mentioned if USA index turns out to be an Shangai kind of example then definitely Indian markets can probably follow the same. But I am not sure whether USA markets being a global leader of all can have the same scenario in all aspects. In my view many global markets are kind of near to derivatives of USA markets like F&O of cash in India . If in the USA market it really happens, what I feel is the entire global GDP may collapse along with its so called derivatives which is a very scary situation. But not sure whether global markets will allow the US markets to fall in terms of GDP etc.
