Love this declutter. I love watching declutters especially palettes. I used to buy a lot of palettes and also received more from a subscription box. I couldn't use my palettes the way I wanted to and some got neglected. I finally decided to quit buying makeup unless needed, started decluttering regularly and I passed a lot of makeup on to family and friends. Now I have a more curated collection and that makeup is actually getting used.

I used to have so many drawers with eyeshadow palettes. Now I have one drawer with just a few. Just decluttered So Jaded which I loved and got good use out of, Ayana palette by Natasha Denona and Too Faced Cocoa Contour palette to my Mom. If I keep something out of a previous declutter, I set a time limit to next declutter to use. If not used by then, I gift to someone that will use it. I would rather do that then it go bad.

For me personally, it got so out of hand I forgot what I had in my collection. That's when I started decluttering. I still love eyeshadow. It is my favorite makeup product.

I completely understand your decision to not support certain brands. I was looking forward to finally trying something from ABH until i found out that Anastasia and Norvina are pretty unsavory people, because of their business practices, how they treat their employees and influencers, and also the fact that they support both Chump and Tootin. Yuck. I am cruelty free as well, and i didn't declutter all my non-CF makeup right away (after making the decision to go CF) either. After a short period of time however, it became increasingly uncomfortable to even use products that i knew had been tested on animals. I ended up decluttering all of it and starting fresh.
I decided to stop purchasing from ABH for the time being as well. It’s disappointing when you find out that the people behind some of these brands aren’t worth supporting. I feel like it’s getting harder and harder to find brands I want to support with my money. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the topic with me! ❤️
I’m not supporting ABH anymore either. I’m surprised that all the other beauty influencers I watch continue to support them, but maybe some aren’t aware of what’s going on. I’m not getting rid of my ABH makeup because I don’t have a channel where I would promote it and don’t want to give it away if I still like/use it.
I’ve commented this before on one of your videos but your declutters and videos had a HUGE impact on me. I used to work at Ulta and had SO much makeup because I was always going through FOMO until I finally didn’t wanna do my makeup anymore because there was just so much to choose from. I’ve decluttered drastically and now love makeup again and am super conscious about what I’m buying versus what I can actually use up. Thank you for these 💛💛

Pretty cutthroat so far with Colourpop but I know you have a massive amount of them and yeah you can only use what you can use. I’ve cut way back on palettes after I got over the initial “gotta have it, gotta have it, need it” mentality. It’s okay to not try everything & it makes what I do have more special & unique to me. 💗💗

I'm so excited for this, you have such similar taste as I do, Andrea, and thus we have much of the same makeup, especially eyeshadow palettes. Hoping to get a little inspiration from you, I have over 100 palettes and need to part with some that are aging. Of course you start with Colourpop "Give It To Me Straight", one of my all time favorites and also one of my oldest at probably going on 4 years, but it still performs like new, not just because the Colourpop formula is so amazing, but also because I treat all my makeup with serious cleanliness habits - using extra clean brushes, fingers etc. Plus I am almost obsessed with proper storage, keeping them at a good temperature so they don't "turn", etc. Oh, the pain of decluttering and the many excuses I use to avoid doing so! 😁

Yes i totally agree with you when it comes to decluttering; whykeep a huge collection when you have palettes that are not being used. It's better to have a minimal collection so that way no makeup is being wasted & going bad. It makes me sick to see people on youtube with huge collections then when they go to declutter they are throwing away hundreds & hundreds of dollars worth of makeup. Why keep such a big collection when its not all being used,anyways, GOD only gave us 1 set of eyes anyways. You did a great job decluttering & I cannot wait to see part 2 of your declutter
Great job decluttering Andrea !! I declutter because I can't use products with dimethicone it causes texture and breakouts when I declutter I didn't have but a few eyeshadow sticks and 1 pallette i got for Christmas from my husband the Urban Decay Naked Honey 1 from Viseart i got in a boxycharm so I've been purchasing pallettes. I've found I love Viseart, Karity, Urban Decay. and some Tarte that doesn't have dimethicone in them. I love the elf shadow sticks and liquid shadows I wish I could use more from the brand I can't wait to see what you keep with Urban Decay I'm wanting the Stone pallette but it's discontinued so im looking hopefully I can come across one. Good declutter! I will be interested to see your thoughts on the Profusion Emeralds palette. I have it and like it though one of the gold shades irritates my eyes so I can't use that shade but the greens are nice. I like playing with color but I don't do bold colorful looks either, just not realistic for me. I like my neutrals. Looking forward to part 2!

I don't know but i am just obsessed with colours/art like i always have been. Makeup is an art for me. I am a beginner though so i am quite weak at choosing colours , what should be with what. I have been trying hard and i luckily i have improved. I wanna learn makeup especially eye. I have done the base makeup completely. And this video is what my tiny-tainy dream looks like. I want to have a collection of eyeshadows, the colour i love but it's a long way as still i am not financial independent but once i am i wish to have a collection only them which will be useful to me i won't be wasting money blindly. @@AndreaMatillano yesterday I did a eyelook walked outside to check the mail and my eyes and nose were running. I forgot they were mowing and I'm allergic to freshly mowed grass. I forgot to use my eyedrops and nose spray before goig out mistake I had to just wash my face and was sad because I had just got my Urban Decay order and I was playing with the Naked wild west pallette love it Andrea I remember you saying it was a great pallette and I agree !
Awesome job de-cluttering. You did a great job. I absolutely applaud you for being educated to know what's going on in the makeup Community. It really makes my blood boil when content creators have companies on their channels that have very problematic products and pallets from companies that have done really terrible things. Please educate yourself and do a little bit of reading, watch a few videos and get in the know. That was harsh, but it's how I feel.❤❤
I've been trying to be better about supporting companies that are worth supporting. I feel like there are so many problematic companies in the beauty space these days. It's so frustrating to see but also eye opening so I try my best to stay up to date when someone shares something with me that I might have missed.

As a general rule I only watch drugstore videos as that’s my preference I decluttered all my high end palettes same modern renaissance! Every other palette is drugstore. I love and even prefer videos with “old” makeup vs new launches too!
The Natasha Denone Glam palette is my favourite palette of all time, I use it almost every day.The ABH Modern renaissance is another one I love, although I wish it had more shimmers as I already panned the two in it so it's just mattes now . I wish they sold refills
I had such a bad reaction to the Natasha Denona Jubilee palette which I recieved in Boxycharm and same with the Ayana palette. I do love the Lime Crime Venus III but I might declutter my Dominque Cosmetics palette which Ipsy gave me for free. I'll take the Urban Decay Stoned Vibes palettes. I tried the Juvia's Place The Nubian Eyeshadow Palette in my February Ipsy Glam Bag X 2022, and it's actually my favorite palette with both high end and drugstore eyeshadow palettes. When combined it tones down the eye look. It's just so pretty to use with others. LA Girl Keep It Playful Palette I'm not going declutter. I have so many eyeshadow palettes but I'm keeping brands like Pacifica in my eyeshadow palettes
Love this videos I’ve only 5 pallets and I love eyeshadow but I’m not really good at doing it. I have more complexion products. Every time you said declutter I scream.
Hmmm.. I don’t have as many eye shadows ( probably about 20-30) But I think I want to trim them down to 10-15 🤔! I need to do some serious spring cleaning. I don’t use all the shows enough to keep them all.

I shed a tear when you decided to move on from the Sailor Moon pallete. I am a HUGE Sailor Moon fan and I JUMPED when the whole collection dropped.

I declutter because I can't use products with dimethicone it causes texture and breakouts when I declutter I didn't have but a few eyeshadow sticks and 1 pallette i got for Christmas from my husband the Urban Decay Naked Honey 1 from Viseart i got in a boxycharm so I've been purchasing pallettes. I've found I love Viseart, Karity, Urban Decay. and some Tarte that doesn't have dimethicone in them. I love the elf shadow sticks and liquid shadows I wish I could use more from the brand I can't wait to see what you keep with Urban Decay I'm wanting the Stone pallette but it's discontinued so im looking hopefully I can come across one. Good declutter! I will be interested to see your thoughts on the Profusion Emeralds palette. I have it and like it though one of the gold shades irritates my eyes so I can't use that shade but the greens are nice. I like playing with color but I don't do bold colorful looks either, just not realistic for me. I like my neutrals. Looking forward to part 2!

I decluttered 100 palettes a few months ago and still have over 170. I need to cut down again.

Same! But I agree with her on the shimmers being more subtle, but that means I can use the darker ones on the lid and do a more sultry look.

I don't know but i am just obsessed with colours/art like i always have been. Makeup is an art for me. I am a beginner though so i am quite weak at choosing colours , what should be with what. I have been trying hard and i luckily i have improved. I wanna learn makeup especially eye. I have done the base makeup completely. And this video is what my tiny-tainy dream looks like. I want to have a collection of eyeshadows, the colour i love but it's a long way as still i am not financial independent but once i am i wish to have a collection only them which will be useful to me i won't be wasting money blindly. I love eyeshadow palettes and a very small collection (4 palettes used to have close to 50) but here lately I found myself not liking many new releases and haven’t really been reaching for the four I have (half because allergies are killing me)

@@AndreaMatillano yesterday I did a eyelook walked outside to check the mail and my eyes and nose were running. I forgot they were mowing and I'm allergic to freshly mowed grass. I forgot to use my eyedrops and nose spray before goig out mistake I had to just wash my face and was sad because I had just got my Urban Decay order and I was playing with the Naked wild west pallette love it Andrea I remember you saying it was a great pallette and I agree !

ColourPop Bare Necessities is one of my ultimate favorite palettes 😭 but I also don't have all of those beautiful Natasha Denona palettes either.

I absolutely applaud you for being educated to know what's going on in the makeup Community. It really makes my blood boil when content creators have companies on their channels that have very problematic products and pallets from companies that have done really terrible things. Please educate yourself and do a little bit of reading, watch a few videos and get in the know.

I've been trying to be better about supporting companies that are worth supporting. I feel like there are so many problematic companies in the beauty space these days. It's so frustrating to see but also eye opening so I try my best to stay up to date when someone shares something with me that I might have missed.

As a general rule I only watch drugstore videos as that’s my preference I decluttered all my high end palettes same modern renaissance! Every other palette is drugstore. I love and even prefer videos with “old” makeup vs new launches too!
The Natasha Denone Glam palette is my favourite palette of all time, I use it almost every day.The ABH Modern renaissance is another one I love, although I wish it had more shimmers as I already panned the two in it so it's just mattes now . I wish they sold refills
Abh sells singles!! They’re circle pans so you can’t just pop them into the palette, but you can get a bigger pan if you loved the shimmer shades!!

I had such a bad reaction to the Natasha Denona Jubilee palette which I recieved in Boxycharm and same with the Ayana palette. I do love the Lime Crime Venus III but I might declutter my Dominque Cosmetics palette which Ipsy gave me for free. I'll take the Urban Decay Stoned Vibes palettes. I tried the Juvia's Place The Nubian Eyeshadow Palette in my February Ipsy Glam Bag X 2022, and it's actually my favorite palette with both high end and drugstore eyeshadow palettes. When combined it tones down the eye look. It's just so pretty to use with others. LA Girl Keep It Playful Palette I'm not going declutter. I have so many eyeshadow palettes but I'm keeping brands like Pacifica in my eyeshadow palettes
