The way the new hero hunt works (in case you don't understand completely) is that obviously the top three people that deal the most damage get put in a wheel of fortune of sorts. If you don't get picked, that's okay, your damage carries over into the next round. If you still don't get picked, all your damage gets added up and carried over next round, and your damage resets when you become the hero.
You may know by now, but the damage carries over from the last hero spawn and only resets once you get chosen to be a hero. So if someone is halfway decent, they should eventually rack up enough damage over multiple heroes that their chance of getting to be a hero is better and better as the game progresses.
There is a glitch in this gamemode where 2 people can be heroes at once. I was playing once with me and my friend and this happened so we were both Palpy. We chain lightning the shit out of everyone.
When playing as heroes, you'll be allies. When playing as villains, you're enemies. Another dude and I played as Vader once and it allowed me to kill him while he was trapped in a corner. Funny shit fam😂

The update improved it but I still don't think it's quite balanced.

I got a bad glitch yesterday in this game. 2 people were made a hero -_- Greedo and Vader were both rampaging across the map. I managed to get Greedo down to one health so I was sure I'd be in the top 3 for damage but nope, you only got points for damaging Vader. You can imagine I wasn't to happy about that XD

I find the new system slightly irritating as when you die just before the hero dies, you spawn on the other side of the map and can't do any damage - which decreases your odds of getting picked. Also, the end of the spinning wheel animation looks a bit laggy
Hero hunt would be better as an 8 player game like it was before the major change. Now there are too many enemies coming at me for me to get any more than 6 kills, it's just too chaotic.

The randomiser carries on from the last one that's why you got such a higher percentage when Luke died
The percentage of damage doesnt reset after every hero kill, it only goes up or a little down if you did no damage at all in a round.
