    yes its a profitable 100 pecent but management is the main thing if we cannot manage beehive properly pests nd disease attack in hives and we get no honey no money no bees so keep colonies strong round th year

    Great investment. I think the information about importing the hives is misleading. You can clearly see the logo of Hive Group limited on the hives. Buy Kenya promote Kenya.

    it is surprising that all the 50 hives were colonized within 5months and harvesting started, sounds too good to be true. I bought 15hives in 2022, upto now some are not yet colonized, but i am doing manual splitting to colonize them.

    Interesting, what type of bees you rear. Any thoughts on how the weather influences honey production. He mentioned that he harvest every 30 days, seems Interesting

      I would be interested to learn how to bee hive farming. My question is how much piece of land would one need to have to be able to do the bee keeping.

    • @theprofessional5932
      @theprofessional5932 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The land for bee keeping should be far from human settlement and also spacious like 3-4m2 per hive.

    where does this farmer sell his honey?

    • @theprofessional5932
      @theprofessional5932 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it is 1,000 ksh for pure honey, then it must be very cheap. Pure honey is very expensive. This only means that he is selling the honey to the local market as a wholesale. Of course the local retailers will sell it for more than 1,000 ksh per liter/kg.

      How much honey do you produce? How do you package it? How many hives do you have now? How do you harvest it? I would be interested in importing to the USA if I can find reliable producers

    • @jamesmwania5041
      @jamesmwania5041 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cary the bee hives and place them in the apiary. Spray the hive with sugar for bee attraction. Start selling your honey in your village.

    • @2wheelereyes521
      @2wheelereyes521 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jamesmwania5041 oh really? Spray with sugar?! Never heard that technique. Woow! Do you mix sugar with water then pour into container and start spraying?
      How long will it take to attract bees? Do they come one by one?
      Thanks James

    V 3:17 ery misleading... from 50 hives, how do you harvest 50 liters per month? That's like 70kgs per month which translates to 840 kgs per year Which is 16.8 kgs per hive!!
    Then he'll be a millionaire overnight!
    Lets not try to impress pple by lying to them.
    We are also bee farmers and can spot lies.
    Further more those hives have the logo of The Hive which is a local company along Mombasa road.
