The beak size of birds in daphne island is smaller than the beak size of birds in Santa Cruz Island. With this information, we can infer that the seeds in Daphne Island, are smaller than the seeds in Santa Cruz Island. The birds with smaller beak sizes had an advantage over those with large beak sizes, so they were more likely to survive and reproduce in Daphne island, and vice versa in Santa Cruz Island.
