Harley's (My French Bulldog), First Time On My Harley

- My wife and I bought a backpack for our French Bulldog, Harley. It's designed for motorcyclists to take their dogs with them. Today, I tried it out for a very short cruise up and down our street. The total ride time was probably about three minutes. I didn't want to stress him out if he didn't like it. He seemed calm while we were on the bike but the thing that cracked me up is that when I leaned (going very slowly), around the turns he would lean the opposite way. That makes sense as he wants to stay as upright as possible. He weighs about 23 pounds and is very short for his weight (like me), so his legs do stretch a bit in the backpack. We'll have to see about putting a small pillow or towel at the bottom and see if he likes that. I'll give it another try in the coming days. I'm hoping that he wants to ride with me for some distance but I want to make sure he's into it first.

@@MotorcycleMonkey I so would love that too but my puppy is a 80 pound beastly baby. If you saw the video he is in of the tour of the rv park we stayed in at Sturgis he is no longer a little dude.
i do the same, get him some googles on amazon. since Frenchies are prone to eye problems.
We got him some. I just wasn't sure if he'd hate them enough to deter him from riding with me for his first time. I'll give it a try soon. Thanks for watching and if you've got a picture or two (or video), of you guys riding I'd love to see it.

That's my biggest fear. I'll keep it short on the rides until I know he loves it. I hope your dog was ok.
I'll be getting mine on the hog soon. He's 4 months and isn't afraid of loud noises. What carrier is that?
Hey Will, the pack is ok but I'd suggest possibly getting a front pack where they face forward and they're legs stick out so they don't get scrunched behind you. You can keep an eye on them and they know you're right there. Just my opinion. I don't have a front pack yet, but I'm getting one. Check them out on Amazon and be sure to check weight and dimensions on the packs. My dog is thick but short so I have to look at those things. Let me know what you wind up with, please.

He's a brindle. Is that what you were asking? Not sure...If it's about my bike...it's filthy black. I haven't washed it in years. :)
