  • Here we dye up a Orc from Innova Discs. Floetrol with dye was used to build the bed. Let me know what you think. Cheers

    Sweet dye job and awesome info at the end. Star plastic + flotrol bed +1.5h @ 107° = great color saturation. Love it.

      Thank you! I appreciate it. I also absolutely love this one. So I printed the split cup from a file on thingverse. You can buy them at craft stores or even easier on Amazon.

      That is amazing! I feel the love! I have taken a break. We moved and honestly these dyers these days are so good..I'm a little "old school" with my ways on how to dye and can't quite compete in the techniques.oit there. I still have my dye station set up and ready to go though. Not that I really need to compete, you know I started this channel just because nobody would show you any of their processes back in the day when I started. A lot of guys will show you how to do things now. Not that this channel was made out of spite, but I was pretty irritated that nobody would tell you or show you how to do anything. Hey, I appreciate the comment. Best one in a while. Cheers to you.

      Right on man! I’m happy to hear you’re doing alright, I started dabbling in the dyes almost two years ago and i tried to copy many of your discs along the way. I appreciate everything you do for the hobby and all the helpful responses to comments and questions from folks like me trying to get better. See you around!

    • @SargsHappyLittleDiscs
      @SargsHappyLittleDiscs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I printed it on my 3D printer. Amazon and Etsy have them also. They are pretty cheap. They are called split pour cups.

    Hey bud what editing software do you use?

    • @SargsHappyLittleDiscs
      @SargsHappyLittleDiscs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What's up brother! I use KineMaster. Just like any editing software, once you get the hang of it, it's pretty seamless. I don't mind it to be honest.

    What are you using for your heat

    • @SargsHappyLittleDiscs
      @SargsHappyLittleDiscs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A heat lamp made for reptiles. I temp the surface of the disc when taking the temp.

    • @SargsHappyLittleDiscs

      Ahhhh, I'm leveling the bed so the center is in the middle of the pan.

      @@SargsHappyLittleDiscs I wasn't sure what you were measuring at first, but after the a couple of times I realized you were working to get the center in the....center. Great video! Looks like I'll be 3D printing a multi chambered cup soon. Any idea how long Innova Champ plastic should stay under heat with this method? I'm assuming a fair amount longer.

    • @SargsHappyLittleDiscs
      @SargsHappyLittleDiscs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You nailed it, yeah just trying to get the center in the center. Lol.
      Champ will need to stay quite a bit longer, I'd say 12 hours at 102-103 disc temp.

    what is your mix of floetrol to dye?

    • @SargsHappyLittleDiscs
      @SargsHappyLittleDiscs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Bill! So it kind of depends on what color I'm using. For instance, reds and blues get about one teaspoon per 16 oz. And pretty much anything lighter than that gets about a teaspoon and a quarter to a teaspoon and a half per 16 oz. Hopefully that helps. Cheers

    • @BillFromAZ
      @BillFromAZ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Sarg's Happy Little Discs Absolutely helps. Thank you for the quick response. I'm starting to get into dyeing discs and still trying different things to see what style I prefer. I have lots of discs to practice on before i work on my 'go-to' throwers.
