I was born in patras Greece in 1957. I lived in an orphanage for 1 year. I must say that an American family adopted me and I am so greatful. They both passed away but I came to a beautiful family and I would not trade it for the world.
Patras also known as the city with the largest potential in Greece. An incredible city with a lot of history, beautiful sunsets, beaches, nightlife, atmosphere in general. I hope that people will realise that this city has the potential to be the greatest in Greece. Some reconstructions around the old port area near the seaside central area, new urban transport, and new developments with a new international airport in Araxos, could turn this city into one of the greatest of southeastern Europe in just a decade. Also the population of 167k is just for the city centre. The metropolitan area of the city which means the city centre plus the suburbs is 314.567 people (EUROSTAT).

Κάποτε ήταν ωραία η Πάτρα τώρα όμως όχι. Σαν εξηντάρης που είμαι έχω στο μυαλό μου εικόνες από δεκαετία 80 και τις συγκρίνω με το τώρα. Ασχημότερες σε σχέση με το πως ήταν πριν 40 χρόνια είναι η Πατρα, Θεσσαλονίκη, από τις μεγάλες και ομόρφυναν πολύ η Ξάνθη η Καλαμάτα (πιστεύω η πιο εξελίξημη και top στην Ελλάδα) Αλεξανδρούπολη, Ιωάννινα, Βέροια. Πολλές δυνατότητες έχει και η Κέρκυρα να γίνει στα top της Μεσογείου αν λύσει τα χρόνια προβλήματα της.

Everything looks great except the lighthouse which looks extremely basic
It's a lighthouse what would you expect? The only thing that could've changed is the location of the lighthouse.
