Thank you so much for sharing this clip of Cerber talking about Vedal and Neuro's duet-it’s such a treat to witness these moments! I'm also incredibly relieved and grateful that you survived the accident, Staz. Thanks to that, not only do we get to enjoy this gem, but we can also look forward to many more moments you'll capture in the future. It’s truly wonderful that Dr. Staz continues to serve as a catalyst, strengthening the bonds between Tengivetur and the other inhabitants of Myrkvollur. Step by step, you're bringing us closer to the synthesis of Mikado’s function-and what an exciting journey that is! With thanks and admiration, [Your Name]
i'm glad vedal finally got to sing and everyone enjoyed. that was a banger duet, regardless of any effects he used, you can see the amount of effort he put into this
@pixelqiwi I don't think it matters that much if he's using autotune or not anyway. This is mostly for fun and stuff. it's not as if he's selling the song or anything.
I'll comment about autotune: It has robbed the music industry of a lot of diversity in voices, but it has also become 'de facto' and pretty much expected by producers. This is despite the fact that many listeners still love 'raw' vocals and did so for many years, and probably also partially explains why people feel some artists are better in concert (though some assistance is possible there too). I don't *want* singers to perfectly hit and hold an exact note as a flat line, that's not how humans sing, even *the best* singers cannot do this and it doesn't sound 'right' to my ears outside of maybe genres that are more digital and suited for it. The biggest issue I take with it though is it smoothes over and flattens all the personality and charm of someone's natural voice. Maybe they'd naturally drag slightly on a certain note or they'd be slightly 'meandering' as they tried to hold a note but in a consistent, stylistic way. These things make up the 'personality' of a voice and autotune can take that away which is a real shame. It's my opinion/supposition but I genuinely do think that even for pop songs most people would be okay with, and even prefer, minimal or no correction on an artist's voice if they have naturally good vocals. I also think that 'tasteful' and honest usage of autotune is fine and it absolutely can enhance some vocals too, espetially in particular types of song. I think in Vedal's case there's no need to hide the fact that it's autotuned as clearly that too took a lot of effort and it sonded wonderful with how Neuro sings herself so if anything it probably helps the song mesh together better stylisticlly. Being up front about techniques used to create a certain sound in my view helps to apreciate the peice as a whole even more and cannot diminish from the clearly very high level of effort Vedal put into practicing for it. Oh and lastly, shout out to T-Pain who pioneered a lot of autotune stuff, guy is really naturally tallented and his use of it for stylistic and 'artistic' flourishes remains one of my favourite as I think it's a great way to allow a natural voice to shine while also still getting to be creative beyond what humans are physically capable of
Honestly, maybe I'm just being biased because I'm a vedal fan, but I think the autotune kinda fit in with the whole channel theme? Like I guess I'd just expect a tech streamer to use tech like that
Absolutely love the clips man, I cant catch every stream from every streamer I like to watch and listening to opinions of others about a streamer I watch very appreciate it a lot!
We know the next Neuro subathon goal to push by the community! Time for the Cerber,Vedal,Bao,Ellie,Numi(and others I forgot) super band! The new Vpop phenomenon
Need to hop on her stream to tell her this but if there is anyone that can make Vedal sing another song it might just be Cerber requesting him for a duet. It won't be this year maybe not even in the next 6 month but with the precedent now set she can get through to him.
The only reason I would consider some sort of post-processing happening for his singing is because He Sounds That Good. He truly genuinely sounds Amazing in this song and it's not like he's an avid singer. However, this is Tutel and I wouldn't put it past him having practiced A Lot for it so that could be the case as well.
I'm just a random internet ahole, but I guarantee Ved scored some genuine points with the ladies with his singing. I don't know why, but it's one of those things girls really like. Honestly his character arc has been as fun to follow as Neuro's development.
Autotune nowadays is used to speed up the production really. You don't need to make that many takes if you can fix the few mistakes in daw. I do, however, think that using autotune when you can't actually sing or don't have a training hurts you more than it helps, if only for the time you have to spend to tune your vocals, note by note, but also for your skills and vocal health. It's a tool to be used byt someone who knows how to use it. That doesn't mean it can't be used for fun things or a one-off heere and there, just that it's counterproductive to use it as a substitute.
Copyright aside, songs in entirety have a way of getting algorithmically categorized as music videos and it's not really fun having a react clip stuffed into someone's my mix playlist.
"Autotune is used on every song you know" Incorrect. First of all, old songs didn't have it, second of all, there are genres like death metal and grindcore where pitch isn't important and there's nothing to correct. Also there are just indie artists that record song in their bedrooms and can't do production. So... Yeah. Her statement is provably untrue.
The point is that above a particular production budget, correction of various kinds, including pitch, is used on most music you hear. Not that there aren't exceptions.
