Thanks for all your hard work. I loved your video on tides. I recently moved close to a beach in Santa Cruz, Ca. I became interested in tides. I noticed that the two tides here were unequal (Semidiurnal Mixed), unlike my childhood experience on Long Island (Semidiurnal). I thought that, since the moon is the dominant force, that tides should be put on a lunar calendar rather than solar. I wanted to see a full year's pattern and then compare on year's pattern to another. I could not find one so I made one. [It looks like a ransom note, but it provides an interesting image (similar to graphing an exponential function on log paper.)] I am curious. Do you know of anyone who has a professionally made chart of tides on a lunar, or perhaps on an interactive website like NOAA's?
Hey, I've just found you channel and watched your video about wind patterns, fascinating stuff. I'm just working my way through your library now. I'm a sailor, diver and building surveyor so I find the subjects of your videos super helpful and easy to understand. Thanks very much for creatively sharing your knowledge. Russ
Great video.
In some northern parts of the Queensland coast of Australia you can experience mixed tides which will then switch to diurnal tides.
Awesome, you made learning fun!
Thanks.
