Beautiful presentation of this video. You did a great job showing the journey and the pursuit of the fish. It’s about so much more then catching the biggest fish all the time and you did a great job of showing it all
Another great film! I love that you are gracious and kind about fly fishing in AZ! So many people just talk crap about how small the creeks are, how technical the fishing is, and how small the fish are. But in reality, its an incredibly beautiful, wild place with so much to offer! Learning to fly fish in az really forces you to be technically competent and patient! Took me 6 months to catch my first northern az fish, and it also set me up to have realistic expectations for fly fishing and helped me be a better fishermen in any water!
What an adventure! Those big horn sheep were SO cool... and how incredible to overcome the challenges and scratch the Apache trout off your list. Awesome episode.
I've been fishing East Fork Black River, AZ since the 70's. Caught a 7 pound brown trout there, Sept 2000. Picture and info is recorded at Big Lake General Store. God's Country for sure! Love it there! Great video
Man next time you're in New Zealand, you need to trout fish around lake Taupo. Massive Rainbows and Browns. 3x size of those little fullas. They pretty though. fun to catch im sure. "... even the small ones are fun to play with."
Use Military MRE’s or tent camping food meals you get at bass pro shop. They are sealed, bears can’t smell it. Then put it in a gallon sized baggie after opening and pack it out.
@@silverakantor no they sell hiking/tent camping meals similar to military MREs. Some MREs are quite tasty. One guy in our unit loved the Tuna Casserole, everyone els hated it. If you got Tuna Casserole he would always trade with. Hopefully he got something you liked.
Would love to have a big game tag and my Ruger .243 cal. Those Big Horns would be a great freezer filler. I love me some wild lamb with a little mint jelly and Fave beans. I sound like Hannibal Lecture. LOL!
What is happening with the product placement footage Mr Field????? Cmon man!!! You’re better than that!!!! Apparel-ently not I guess…. how big was the check they stole a bit of your soul with brother? The vids still have my absolute attention and my anticipation for when the next one is gonna show up in my ‘feed’ so don’t feel to bad, it happens to the best of us my friend!!! This was great though, love watching people who have no idea how to handle the new aspect of the sport but in truth, fly fishing is really the BEST way to trigger the fishes instinct and basically FORCE the fish to bite!!! It’s as close as we can get to fully imitating their natural foods. Great job you two!!! That was so much fun to watch!!!!

Yahoo ! Well done Gents. I haven’t seen a Salmo Apache in 40 plus years. Love the white mountains. Cheers Rob

rodent eaters too!
If you go to the reservation all of their lakes and streams are stocked with Apache native trout now. Could catch a limit of them probably!
Any vids of the Little Kern Golden?
@ 31:04 is that a Bear?

I was thinking bear or mountain lion.
All part of the adventure haha 😅

Bass pro sells MREs? I learn something new every day. I hear they are awful though...

Quick tip if you hold the fish upside down for a second or two the will settle down quickly.

At 31:04 there is a bear in the shot for just a second!
Dog bro...

At 31.4 in the back shadow on the right appears to be a black bear
Yes it was.
Lol anytime I'm out in the wilderness I have a firearm on me. Had plenty of black bears run by me.
WTH was that critter at 31:04?
Pretty sure it's a dog...
Yeah looks like a shepherd
Too quick a release on that first fish, theat is what the net is for on you back, that you both hiked in with! LOL…
