I'm a postgraduate myself and can see things more clearly. All these arts and humanities teachers cultivate the inferiority complex within us. Then mass produces batches of intellectual elites. These intellectual elites take full-time jobs that are built upon self hate.
This may seem like humour, but there is a very important message behind this. Foreigners always tend to notice only the stereotyped bad version of our nation and miss the beauty and the culture.
Yeah obviously even some Indians too I have seen some calling India their own country disgusting while every country have their underdeveloped or developing parts while the developed parts are well represented and should be the main attraction for tourists and that's what happen in other countries but India as India has been stereotyped for its underdeveloped parts

Washington DC looks clean cuz it was planned and built properly by the British and later Americans. Delhi is one of the oldest cities of India that is inhabited since Mahabharat Times. No destructive things occured in Delhi like London. Rebuilding forecefully was not possible due to too much population density and Illegal encroachment. And thats why the City looks unplanned and hence not worth visiting (according to you). Try visiting newly developed cities like Noida and Navi Mumbai.
