    Great stuff, the Assumption pattern is like this one for example Consciously you can be unsure about ur skills as a hypnotist, whilst unconsciously ur mind can be contracting pattern and integrating the learnings

    Omg iv only just thought to subscribe and like , and I have and watch this video nearly ever night before I go to bed for around 7 years , I pretty much know it from word to word , I love the way Harvey speaks just like milton , the ethics are a big part to understanding the milton model and hypnosis along with the patterns , give a dog a bone leave the dog alone let that dog roam and find his own way home 🏡

    I hate to say I've used this unethically but for a good cause on several occasions. At work we have to get donations by selling items for a dollar, five, ten and fifty. I found that being straight and asking people normally got me nowhere so I started to apply language patterns and the number of people I could get to donate increased exponentially. The money went to local hospitals. So i dont feel all that bad.

    I did think after I recorded this that It needs to be vocally more engaging. I will develop this further and I appreciate the feedback. I wanted to put something out there for my students as this is the aspect of NLP/Hypnosis that most of them struggle with. Do stay in touch.

    I remember watching this video when it came out and I was clueless I didn't see anything hypnotic or felt hypnotised but I was fascinated by it so I threw myslf in and joined the Hypnosis Training Academy and they drill you in these patterns now over 10 years later it all becomes clear and that's why we don't notice being hypnotised because it's Conversational but as you talk to people using this language you adjust Everthing even going into a Light Trance as you continue to talk and slightly shift your Tonality they will follow they all follow

    nice to see a video discussing the importance of ethics! Way too many NLP videos out there sending the message that it's ok to influence people without their consent!! Usually ethical guidelines for a profession are articulated within the context of a profession's national or international association (e.g. American Psychological Association). Even if one is not a member or that association, but functions as a professional (e.g. Psychologist) the law will use those guidelines as a standard of care. If your profession does not have a national association or official ethical guidelines, it would be difficult to see it aa a profession. Do you see the "sky as the limit?"

    In the video, the instructor says that one has to stick to the same ethical guidelines that one is required to stick to within ones profession. What happens if your profession has not ethical guidelines? Does that mean the sky's the limit? :D

    • @juggernautjames3967
      @juggernautjames3967 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      it means exactly that....so if youre a pimp you can ensure, via use of precision ericksonian language patterns that your bitch will have your all thereby reducing the need to smack her upside her head and your hand will hurt less....and if youre a bank robber you can make sure the teller doesn't hit the panic button thereby increasing the likelihood you will make a clean getaway....sky's the limit indeed :D

    • @609_
      @609_ 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      juggernaut james Exactly. The use of the language helps to acquire the intended results of your communication. georg cantor People who are successful in their specific business / professional pursuits are masters of this language ... they may not know it's called that, but they understand the secret power of words. Preachers, talking heads on (ABC,NBC,CBS,FOX), salespeople, a quality teacher, attorneys, coaches, there isn't any business that I can think of that this doesn't apply to.

    • @HarveyTaylorPerforms
      @HarveyTaylorPerforms  10 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Hmmm... Erickson will be turning in his grave. I think your ethics are up to you but Erickson's intention was that these patterns be used therapeutically, not to dupe people, nor to prop up the culture of bullshit and dishonesty that is rife in the commercial and political worlds these days. A drill used to put up shelves is a useful tool; used to drill holes in people's heads is murder. I use these patterns with the PERMISSION OF MY CLIENTS.

    • @609_
      @609_ 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      ***** Is it possible to communicate with anyone for any length of time in a conversation without using these language patterns unintentionally? Sooner or later a person who knows these patterns will consciously discover that this language is constantly being used in all sorts of conversations naturally and effortlessly between all sorts of people. Consider this for a moment: because you are reading these words in means you are getting an insight to my perspective, right? And if that's true, there's a chance it might mean that this language occurs in an organic way daily, in millions of conversations simultaneously creating more flexibility in the listeners mind and it can open the consideration of exploring another perspectives. And that's a wonderful possibility to consider, isn't it.

      A knife can be used to eat, cutting meat, or slicing bread, or to murder someone. Is it the fault of the knife when it gets misused?
      Every genius invention can be used or misused by somebody else... Therefor the ethics are essential.

    Para el Fernando que conocí y alienado de mí por sus padres cuando fui tu tata, chacha, tu tita cuando nadie podía controlarte me llamaban a mí para que te apaciguara y esos mismos envenenaron esa relación entre tía chachi y sobrino perdido en el tumulto de su vida pero cuando una vez estabas estabikizado y comencé a ser más que la chacha y la tita para los momentos difíciles, mi hermana y tu padre me demonizaron porque ya no era necesaria.
    Espero que algún día encuentres a alguien a quien le importes lo bastante para no alejar a quien te quiere sin poder para envenenarte porque ese cariño no represente una amenaza para quienes quieran manipularte.
    No es tu culpa, no tuviste suerte con tu familia, al igual que yo...y eran sangre de mi sangre pero los egos pueden más que la realidad.
    Ojalá un día mires hacia dentro y ni hacia fuera; está difícil y no es fácil pero esta vida no tiene sentido si la vives desde la óptica ajena.
    Deseando que un día despiertes, a pesar del dolor... merece la pena encontrarse a sí mismo...lo que más teme cualquier ser humano es encontrase consigo mismo. Si no puedes, no pasa nada, excepto que no vives tu vida sino la vida que te han trazado.
    No creo que volvamos a vernos o hablarnos...me quedo con el niño inocente y cariñoso que conocí.
    Mis mejores deseos 💖
