H&M makeup up is either really good or really bad! I absolutely love the mascara you used, its one if my all time favorites, I like their bronzers, eyeliners and lip products too! I've never tried a foundation, but I do agree that the eyeshadows are bad. I would recommend trying out their brushes, I use a few and they are great!
I personally love H&M makeup especially the highlighters (THEY’RE INCREDIBLE). I have the same highlighter and I love it, I use it everyday!! Also their blushes are amazing and incredibly pigmented 😍
I feel like maybe the foundation wasn't working because she packed it on to try and make it a higher coverage foundation. I'd be interested to see if it did the same thing with just the first coat and leaving it to be the sheer coverage it said it was?

Maybe prepping the skin prior to testing the makeup may have helped cause your skin looks dehydrated unless it's genuinely the foundation. Was there a primer available to use?

I haven’t tried makeup from H&M but I have tried there nail varnishes and they are really really good pigmented drys very quick to ☺️
