    Your new desk mic is very clear-sounding - that is my impression. Also like your concise and straightforward review of the Soncoz LA-QXD1. Thumbs-up all around.

    Great review, as always. I'm looking for a balanced dac and I almost bought the LA-QXD1 when you mentioned it's a very easy recommendation. But I think I'll wait for your Modius review first. Until then, D10s got me covered.
    I'm a big fan, by the way. You got me to buy the HE-6SE V2 a while back (still waiting on your review for it). Looking forward to more content!

    Thank you for another great review. I understand that the LA-QXD1 has the same DAC chip as the Kadas tone 2 which is also equally well built and balance. It is a more compact and lighter device and may be a better choice.

    Hey Resolve,
    thank you for the look on the DAC.
    I have a few DACs around the house, but one can always find some use for another.
    Had a look on the link in the description and it looks like there is no remote. Especially with powered speakers, this would be a no go, for me.
    The rest looks quite promising. Dig the simple design.
    The microphone sounds good.
    I Wonder, if you are into showing us your Setup. Especially Lights, microphone setup and camera with lenses, etc.

    Just ordered one and I'm pretty impressed with it. I bought it to use at work, but I threw it into my setup running an Auralic Taurus MK2 and it sounded really good. It seemed to match with the Taurus quite well.
    At work, it's paired with an Drop x Cavalli Liquid Carbon X, which is good, but the amp is definitely the weak link in this chain. Waiting on a new Jotunheim 2 to pair it with.

    Thanks for all the great reviews you do . I also like the Soncoz LA-QXD1 form factor but ....
    Do you think that combining the LA-QXD1 with the Sinxer SA-1 and Hifiman Ananda, Arya headphones will give a good synergy?
    I am a bit afraid that it will be weak in the bass and too sharp in the treble, is this a good idea, or rather going towards the D30 Pro, D70s

  • @RyougiVector
    @RyougiVector 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I wanted to get this but it doesn't have volume control and a remote for it. The SMSL Sanskrit 10th Anniversary MkII sounds very good and is a bit under half the cost (at least when I got it last December) but just needs balanced output. Is volume control that expensive of an add-on for DACs like the LA-QXD1 and the Modius?

    • @ResolveReviews
      @ResolveReviews 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, you'd just use volume control on the amp. I mean, there are some that have a dial on the DAC too, but it's not really necessary IMO.

    • @RyougiVector
      @RyougiVector 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ResolveReviews Well it's moreso the convenience of the remote that does it for me. Attenuating volume on the DAC while keeping the amp volume maxed out or vice versa sounds the same so in terms of listening there is no difference there. But that remote is handy when the unit is a bit hard to reach by hand.

    I can't find whether or not this can process DTS audio-does anyone know if this can, or of any cheap DAC that can process DTS?
    My office is also where I watch films and 4K blu-rays almost never have PCM stereo, and my current DAC can't process DTS without huge audio delay compared to image on screen. My 4K player has the ability to sort of get rid of the audio vs image delay, but it's not perfect and it's still ever so slightly out of sync.

      Maybe your other equipment isn't delivering. 🤔
      LAQXD1 does everything right. Bass has the right form, it is dynamic with whatever i play through it. Whole frequency range is presented as it should be. I'd say it is accurate and there are dacs twice the price that get beaten by this fella by a mile.

    So, what's your favorite TOTL DAC?

    • @ResolveReviews
      @ResolveReviews 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Kind of depends. I've heard the Chord stuff and it is really quite good, but also pretty crazy high price tags on that stuff. For my favorite 'reference' style high end DAC it is the Matrix X-sabre pro. But that's also an off-the-shelf chip. I need something reference like that for measurements and stuff, but really there are a lot of other DACs that give you that kind of sound. So... I'd say it really depends on what you want your DAC to do, or how much you want it to change the sound - and in what ways.
