Ace pro has been very reliable, has a ton of features I don't even use. I also use the X3 which has been a lot of fun. Big fan of insta360 and I'm also excited for the new DJI action 5.
I got another cheapest camera with 140 degree lense. But in my opinion it's only a very narrow 22 degrees. Shockingly narrow. Now I'm looking at 360 with intent to only run one side.
100% agree, I just picked up a 11 Mini for $199 and am loving it in conjunction with my Hero 12. I’m not buying another GoPro until there is an actual hardware upgrade.
People who want a 1 inch sensor on a action camera doesn't know what their talking about. Bigger sensor means also less depth of field which is a big downside on action camera the ace pro is the best example, the image compared to the gopro looks aweful, even on 8K. The only benefit of a bigger sensor is the better low light performance which is the least important thing on a action camera because most of the action is happening in daylight not inside and also not at pitch black darkness.
I agree with you 👍, im keeping my Action 4 and Ace Pro. I maybe will upgrade to Action 5 pro, its gonna be so much better than the Hero 13. Even Dji Action 4 is better than Hero 13
Same here and I stopped buying their cameras since 8th, GPS logging is just crap, nothing working. iOS app always, always asks for subscription... and yea - quality of image is totally not the same as advertised/shown vs real life. Totally looking for something else.
@@itsamemarkus I don’t believe so, when the cameras main page is focused on upselling you 100 dollar accessories it’s easy to see the camera itself isn’t the main selling point.
GoPro to me seems is a company living off its name now(i have a 11 & action 3),Insta & Dji are companies that want to make big improvements in this market where GoPro to me seems like they are milking every lil upgrade,it also seems like GoPros engineers are not innovative as the other 2,I think GoPro would not know what to do if they put a bigger sensor & chip in theyd be lost after that compared to the better engineers at the other 2
Just be clear the aperture size and fill factor are what impacts the light gathering potential of a camera. The sensor size does not. This is one of the most common misconceptions. As for how it arose that's a long story similar to how a lot of the terms we use in photography and film originated from things that are no longer applicable, just a long story. There are also some other minor things like quality of anti-reflective coating and other stuff, but the dominant things are fill factor and aperture size.
Both the lens aperture and sensor size are the 2 main elements that determine how much light will be captured. Likewise, I wish that the industry adopted a metric representing the amount of light captured, or an equivalent aperture value (like the equivalent focal length)
@@supercurioTubeNope sensor size literally means nothing. The sensor square is placed within the center of the focused circle of light. Making the sensor bigger doesn't do anything the entire sensor is being hit with the light independent of its size, and the size of the light circle that is focused is tuned so that it covers the sensor well. Bigger does correlate with better fill factor, but not necessarily, but it's not like the misconception originates from that anyways.
I guess its the size of the pixels that will effect the fill factor...maybe to accomodate more pixels, the pixel size gets smaller...leading to a struggle for low light performance!
from what Im hearing, its "i was not given a go pro 13 thats why im crying right now, i should be paid like the others" come on, just buy a gro pro and use it, what with all the bitchin
@ What about Ford. They make great cars from the Taurus to the explorer. I don’t like Chinese brands especially because after some time they will ditch us.
The cost of deportation of Chinese people and their cameras on the market is a consideration. I'm reminding you, USA sellers market with Chinese products and becoming reliant upon imports that pollute the oceans every mile there's a transport ship. That's not a review bud because Wi-Fi 6 to the cloud is very fast and effective. The other design features that the engineers in the US have struggled to put together, then propaganda by someone that knows nothing about engineering.🎉 Please be more explicit in your review of a product specifically performance.
Thanks for the valuable info and content !
Good tips.

Have they fixed the leaky battery door? Is it now guaranteed against water damage?

@@AirKhanFPV believe it or not people use the camera near dusk too or at night. There’s already a debate below about sensor size go argue there

GPS logging what the hell.
That would be a rock solid no dam way.
Hm, for such a rant you kinda have to try it first imo

This ain't a rant but straight trash talking.
GoPro does not use activation via smartphone with granting access to all my personal data like Action 4 or similar. Free people should think about it.
Looks like I'll stick and stay with my gopro hero black 11 😊
Id agree not much has changed since the 11 its disapointing.
