i’m almost 20 and qubo was genuinely so loved in my house even my mom would watch with me, we didn’t have cable and i’m pretty sure she was happy i loved qubo so much, a lot of those shows would also teach valuable lessons, especially the night owl shows, i will always be heartbroken about qubos death ☹️
As a kid in elementary and middle school me and my siblings would know the schedule for our favorite cartoons and we were always hyped to watch them, and whenever something boring was on we would switch to pbs kids to watch wild Kratts or Arthur. I also watched Scooby-Doo Tom and Jerry on TH-cam but we did not grow up watching Nickelodeon and cartoon Network or Disney. Yep thanks for all the good memories.
Omg Being Ian was one of my favs. I remember it'd play well past my bedtime at 10 pm right before Ned's Newt and Scribbles (I think that was the name of the show w/ the stick figures?)
Holy hell, this video open my eyes to ALL the old Qubo shows I use to watch and help me get throw my childhood. I love all of the shows on there and I miss it as well, along with the other people in the comments. It was more easy back then and not like now days TvT Ima most likely try to watch most of them again
For sure some of my most watched shows on there was Jacob Two-Two, Peccola (An absolute masterpiece), and 321 Penguins. So good. But the vast majority on there were some of my favorites that i had long since forgotten until now like Class of the Titans and Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century. The latter being a certified banger.
I loved hanging outside with friends in the neighborhood as a kid, but it was bad environment. I have distinct memories looking forward to qubo nightowl watching he man and i'm forever grateful it kept me inside at night
I miss qubo all the good shows were there before I didn't have cable I was a Nickelodeon kid growing up in the early 2010s I watched Power Rangers TMNT Invader Zim all the good stuff I still had qubo but rarely watched it until 2015 when I didn't have cable anymore for the next 9-5 years I've been watching qubo eventually in 2018-2019 I got cable back and could finally watch Nickelodeon Cartoon Network and Disney Channel until I heard qubo was shutting down I'm planning on bringing the channel back
I'm still sad every time I'm reminded of its unexpected ending. All my siblings had just aged out and my sister had just had kids. Come to find out Qubo was gone so she couldn't play it for her kids. She was the one that told me and my other siblings. Always will miss this channel even if I got so tired of watching it lol.
I agree that 2012 was the tipping point for Qubo. 2012 was the start of the erasure of older shows, and it was the last year I watched Qubo frequently during the day, as they took off Maisy and other shows I liked. Though I did like the addition of Harry And His Bucket Full of Dinosaurs. Qubo Night Owl was still good, but I didn't like how they started airing all the pre-2012 shows less. The post-2012 additions weren't as good in my opinion.
i grew up with qubo and pbs kids, and oh my god. i loved qubo so much, ESPECIALLY class of the titans. i mean seriously, a kids show about greek mythology? i ate that up. hearing about it now is still sad to me. i think mine was replaced with court tv or something..? can't really remember. i'm just glad that my dad always recorded those shows and put them on discs so i could watch them whenever.
I never grew up with cartoon network or nickelodeon, instead with a local channel called MTV Junior, it's still alive as far as i know but something about this video spoke to me anyway, it had Babar, it had Penguins 321 etc etc, and some of the old shows are now lost for good, the only way for me to watch my favourite show in my language in good quality is on DVD i've been collecting from sites like craigslist and second hand markets for years and still have only a bit under half collected, thankfully i can watch in english or dubbed if i can bare the 480p youtube quality This hit home tho i'm not sure why.
Pearlie in the Park was the only think that got me though 2 hurricanes and a coupla tornado warnings. Qubo will forever be cherished memory, even if I hope I never have to hear a general insurance commercial ever again bc of it
I was watching Qubo from the moment I could remember things, I was a 2004 baby, and Qubo started in 2006 I was 2 years old when Qubo started and watched it until I was 14. It’s safe to say Qubo was my everything as a child, and still to this day, almost 20 years old I’m struggling to accept the loss of Qubo due to the fact I’m losing my entire childhood one by one The house I grew up in doesn’t belong to my family anymore, Qubo is gone, my favorite locations like Pump-It-Up are going bankrupt, my favorite childhood toys and games, and there’s so many more things from my childhood that’s lost to time and I’m struggling so so hard to let it all go (I also have a bit of a brain issue so not even holding onto the memories are working, those are going as well)
Maaan I am just finding out qubo died from here Having kids content over the air and not cable was such a good thing in the era before streaming services and now it’s basically snuffed out. Watching qubo when I was home sick from school or waking up early to watch rescue heroes are such fun childhood memories
I never really watched Qubo that much. The obscure children's channel I watched the most was TVO Kids. The channel still exists but I cannot watch it anymore as it is now only officially available in the province of Ontario and Gatineau Quebec. They had so many original shows that are now lost media and are nowhere to be found. Qubo was an awesome idea though and I do think there needs to be a free to air channel that airs content for older kids.
I wonder why qubo was never popular, I loved it so much.... but i'ts death was clearly going to happen with cabal crumbling, but I'm happy it happened.
If there was a channel that streamed nonstop Qubo shows like it was still airing...it prob wouldnt get a lot of subs but it would have a dedicated fanbase
So seeing as you mentioned how TV is sorely lacking an OTA kid's network, there's some, maybe good news in that regard. Maybe you know this already but the folks behind MeTV have recently made a new channel called MeTV Toons which exclusively broadcasts cartoons 24/7, primarily older shows to coast on the "boomer nostalgia" demographic cuz that's MeTV's thing, but it's a very wide range of stuff. It's not really an OTA kids network, because it doesn't set out to target kids specifically (most of the commercials are for like, hearing aids or health insurance, lol) but as most of these shows were targeted towards children or aired on children's networks upon original release (some of MeTV Toons' shows have even aired on Qubo itself!), it's something that can have at least some degree of appeal to that demographic. Given it's really one of the only ways to watch cartoons OTA in a post-Qubo world beyond PBS Kids, I think it's a very good addition to the current television landscape. Plus there's a lot of great shows on the network in general. Anyway, R.I.P. Qubo and good video. Earned a sub from me, keep up the good work.

Yes, i didn't grow up with qubo however I could've watched it on ion television on Comcast until I switched to streaming services. If I had one more chance until the shutdown I would watch it for no reason on ion unless qubo was a channel on comcast . comment if that's true?
Hey man do you have a discord server? I followed you on Twitter but it won't let me dm you, I am working on a project that probably would interest you related to Qubo shows
You know despite not watching it in years, Qubo’s demise is still pretty sad to hear about .

We still have Riverdale

Love to hear that! Everyone I talk to about Qubo tells me they’ve never heard of it. It’s nice to hear other’s fond memories. ☺️

i miss cubo,
whenever my family drove cross country or the cable didn't work, cubo and PBS kids were there.
