@Victoria, great information you gave there. Something to add, when applying for the MPH program, make sure you follow the instructions. I remembered last year, they were specific about writing a one page SOP, font 12, single spacing, etc. Some of this instructions may count towards admission. MPH is really competitive, you would want to be found "worthy" at every level of the admission process.

Bros how did you go about getting the funding, because I'm trying to get a supervisor but I haven't.
For that you try to go through the school page and search their staff. Look for supervisors in the areas that interests you then write and ask them if they have a research project

I got admission to the MPH at the University of Saskatchewan with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ghana. I love the program but I was disappointed to be told that the program doesn’t offer any funding. Admission is usually based on your performance in the last two years of your bachelor’s degree. It was stated on my acceptance letter that the monthly cost living is 2000 cad. I think the issue of getting acceptance from a potential supervisor before getting admission into some programs and schools in Canada should be reconsidered because most of the supervisors don’t usually respond to emails requesting for supervision.

MSc Pharmacy in University of Saskatchewan I taught the process is to apply for the preliminary, faculty will present your CV to potentially supervisor and if selected by a supervisor you can now complete the application by paying that application fee.
Also please what is the deadline for submission of the preliminary form because I am having issue with getting my Transcript due to ASSU strike

She only had to prove ties to Nigeria because that’s where her family lives.
Plus according to her, she applied for the admission from India and the visa from Nigerian.

That’s just for Victoria and I. But to be fair, there were a lot of acceptance rates for International students in the heat of Covid.

I think the ideal thing is to search a school and know if you have the requirements to get you admitted.

She’s working part time. You can take any program and work part time, just have to prioritize well.
Public health is a very demanding course with plenty assignments, group work, quizzes etc. but definitely you can work part time. Except you have lot of funds, you need money to pay bills oooo.

How can you help me out with the process
I have a BSc in Biochemistry and it's been over 12 years I graduated, but I have been working with an insurance company all this while,can I do masters in public health or can you suggest another course to avoid visa officer scrutiny?
@Gertrude Ezimorah if you would like to continue with insurance, then you don't have a problem, that's career progression. You just have to word your SOP well to explain why you crossed from biochemistry to insurance. Then you're good to go.

The first visa application was from India, second one was from Nigeria. But I am not sure it played a role because her GCMS note only stated that the first refusal was on financial ground.

They look into last two years of the program. You must have 70%

Last two years is mounting upto 66.9% only the website is asking for 70 minimum.
But like I mentioned i stand at the top 20% students at our university. Does that not count? 😭
I meant 70% sorry. Oh yeah, the admission requirement is clear. You can reach out to the program advisor if you have further inquiries. All I’ll say is, the program is extremely competitive.
