In the interview he discusses how he started wrestling, his pro football career, the most detailed account of his Stampede wrestling days ever caught on camera as well as the most detailed account of his personal battle with Hepatitis C, his former close friendship with Abdullah The Butcher, what he thinks of Abdullah's Hepatitis C and WWE Situation and Graham's thoughts of the WWE and the Hall of Fame among many other subjects. This was 2011, what ever happened since then? This interview got real interesting after an hour.

Trancendent, The whole industry owes him
Honestly this interview is like sitting by a fire in some log cabin and hear the true story of wrestling in the 60s70s 80s era & then more stories ...this Superstar knows how to keep your attention by the way he tells stories....what Stu's house looked like....the headlock in the dungeon...blood on mats on walls...steam pipes....rotten fruit....selling a stolen tv....
Billy mentioned Dave Rule (sp) in Calgary...he was a fan favourite.
We could watch Stampede wrestling here in Vancouver weekly.
He mentioned Bill Dromo.
He wrestled here in Vancouver. He was a great wrestler !!! Headliner.
From Calgary there was a guy named Sweet Daddy Siki.
He really stirred up the Calgary fans.
Who would of ever thought Superstar from this rookie start who knew zero about wrestling would become WWF champion !
Stu Hart tells him to go in the rink and beat on the Christy bros. Billy says no to Stu. Ha ! No the bell has rung so I cannot interfere !!!
Wow Billy really had zero info about wrestling.
But he surely was at one time very close friends with Abbey.
But Billy is a straight shooter and gives his honest views....he definately did not approve the blading between Abbey and Hannibal using the same blade !!!
And Billy did not make a short comment but really let his discussing feelings about it....it was wrong.
Bet there are a million stories hd could tell but will not.
He mentioned about John Tolos vs Dr Jerry Graham.
Both these guys wrestled in Vancouver....and both really were great headliners and great talkers on the tv mike.
Crazy on how he and Abbey were best of friends ( still be? ) and how what happened between you & Abbey in that match .....and then how you and Superstar are now very close friends...

A 600 pound bench press back then in the 1960's and early '70's was unheard of. It's obvious that Wayne was going to be a huge star and sucess in this business.
Yep, saw an interview where Arnold Schwarzenegger talked about seeing Billy Graham bench press 600 pounds back in the day in the gym and he was mad that he could not match it or beat it.
Those Calgary stories I find hilarious. I think these interviews are great as it is important to document these old stories. The old timers don't last forever and once they are gone, the stories turn to vapor.
very nice shoot interview just like the other one you posted with Billy graham you should do an interview with him on this whole Hogan out of hall of fame thing and abdulah still in there would be interesting to see.

One of the bloddiest matched I've seen in wrestling magazines were with Superstar Billy Graham vs Chief Wahoo McDaniel back in what must have been in 1972, Graham was un recognizable.
“The man of the hour, the tower of power, too sweet to be sour”
That story about Dr. Jerry Graham hosting his dead mother over his shoulder and out of the hospital into his car and driving away is something Norman Bates would do.
Even the pros have said it at one time or another-- SSBG was the guy who laid the foundation for what pro wrestling has (or should I say HAD) become in it's glory days. Hulk Hogan, Jesse the Body, Steiner... so many others have been "inspired" by SSBG's gimmick and what he did. It truly is a shame of the highest order that the Vince Sr. didn't turn him face in 78 instead of putting the strap on Bob Backlund. In my opinion, that was probably the biggest mistake that company made in it's entire history. I was THERE in NY as a kid when this was all going on. My parents took me and my brother to MSG all the time to watch wrestling and go to Rangers and Knicks games. The fans LOVED Superstar. Granted, his in ring skills left a lot to be desired, but look at Hogan; that guy couldn't "wrestle" his way out of a paper bag, but he got the people in the seats with his gimmick, promos and charisma, ALL of which he's admitted himself, that he got from SSBG. Even myself, a HUGE fan as a kid-- couldn't BELIEVE how many times Hogan could wrestle that SAME EXACT match every single time, over and over... Superstar couldn't have been that bad in the ring. His promos were legendary, his vibe and his style were amazing. I'm glad I got to see him do his thing. I even liked the Karate gimmick and all the stuff with Butch Reed and Muraco when he came back later. This particular shoot was WAY too Hep C heavy, but I enjoyed it. More SSBG Karate gimmick PLEASE!
This was not a shoot interview. It was a interrogation by Hannibal to try to get info from Mr. Colman. Why not just ask him in person and not call it a "shoot"
Too bad I didn’t get to see him wrestle, I was not even born. It is very pleasant to hear him speak.
