Asoka looks like it was sculpted by someone who hates Rosario Dawson.
Must be Hades from Percy Jackson
As a collector of the 2013-2019 5POA Star Wars figures, the return to this style of figures makes me so happy.
Finally being able to put Ahsoka, Mando, Grogu, and Sabine next to the other figures is AWESOME.
Yeah I was thinking about getting Sabine also
They're not in scale though, these are four inches
@@bruhmoment1363 I think they’re just dropping “3.75” cause 4” is easier to say. I have them standing next to the old figures.
The stormtrooper is maybe a speck taller than the Saga Legends/Rogue One trooper. It’s barely anything.
Ahsoka scales well- she’s shorter than Ep. III Anakin.
Sabine goes really well with the old Kanan figure.
I’m not sure how tall Mando is supposed to be compared to Boba Fett, he’s a little taller than the Fett I have, but that one has spread out legs.
Didn’t get Luke or Vader as I have the older ones- the Luke looks pretty similar in scale.
Great review Jason, I don't think that little oeg on the Storm Trooper's blaster is a peg I think it's an ammo clip but I could be wrong.
Ah that makes sense
They seem like a lot fun for the value! I’ve never collected vintage or vintage collection Star Wars and only have a couple Black Series basically consisting of Mando and the Bad Batch. I grabbed a couple Mission Fleet figures as the vehicles and sets were promising and the scale was fun. But it took off quicker than I wanted to keep up with. This could be an interesting line to use as a starting point for getting into Star Wars. My only reservation is some of these type of projects tend to fizzle out before you can really build or complete anything.
And that's definitely a concern of mine as well
I almost have the entire line and it’s personally become my favorite so i really hope it continues! Especially for that price!
If it keeps going, I'm tempted to keep collecting.
Great video!
I have mixed feelings about the figures though.
The 5PoA works as a spiritual throwback/continuation of the original line and the 90s PotF line.
But considering Hasbro already has a retro/vintage inspired line and a small scale line with lots of articulation, this definitely feels like something in between.
And that being said, I wish this line was as articulated as spinmasters DC, Epic Marvel, or the new 4in scale X-Men figures.
This was terrific! I picked up Luke, Darth, and the Stormtrooper to give them a whirl and I may be in on this line. Hope we get Artoo and Threepio as a deluxe set like the Paz and Sabine figs. Personally, I'm most excited about the vehicles...the Vintage Collection prices on vehicles are nuts, and I'd love to see basic vehicles be a thing again.
Thank you for posting this. I spotted these at Target last night and really like how you lined them up with all the other figures.
You're very welcome! Glad it could help
It’s not the peg on the Stormtrooper Blaster, It’s a “Magazine / Battery cell” of the blaster
I would have loved these when I was a kid!
Same!
I only picked up paz vizsla. He scales perfectly with retro collection mando figs. Swapped out the cartoonish pack and rifle he came with for the better scaled VC paz vizsla accessories (no mod needed!), and it looks great. This epic series line was at least good for one thing.
Once you do get a dc multiverse mcfarlane toys superman earth-two crisis on infinite earths figure I hoped you get to scale him next to batman hush but also page punchers, action comics 1000 and hush back but I also I've also heard that the new earth 2 superman buck fits in well with a hush batman like they're perfect for each other apparently I saw a video of it though😊
Just got him yesterday and I am planning on it being my next video, so I got you buddy
@@5POAFigureReviews YES
I was excited when I first seen these but then was disappointed about the articulation. Was hoping it would of been like epic heros at least. Good review!
You want to do more Star Wars figure reviews. *Waves hand through the air.* ...Is the Jedi mind trick working?
I...want...to do...more Star Wars...videos....
I bought four Stormtroopers . Each of them have a slight lean. Great video and review !
Thank you! Figures the one that's an army builder would be the crooked one
I always hated limited engineering action figure dollies. Going back to the original motu line. This goes for this series too!😂
Def won't be for everyone! But as a line for little kids that scratches my nostalgia itch, I dig it
I like Star Wars, but with all of the D+ series and movies that weren't that great, I stopped caring about the IP as a whole. However, I would like it if you could take a look at the new Frozen Empire kid's line of Ghostbusters figures and compare them with the Afterlife wave and the Kenner RGB figs.
Well I'll tell ya, the videos I did for Afterlife remain some of the worst performing videos on my channel, so I am a little hesitant about revisiting Ghostbusters, but I will see what I can do! I am amazed how inexpensive they are.
@@5POAFigureReviews Sorry to hear that. guess most people are just into Multiverse and Ledgens figures which are cool but can be a bit tiresome for content creators who want to explore more in the figure field than just go back and forth between Hasbro and MacFarlend. And yes, 10 bucks for a fig is awesome.
I was skeptical of this line at first because we already had the cheap, 5 POA retro line but upon buying one of the figures (Ahsoka) I found myself liking their simplicity and affordability. They also feel more durable than their TVC counterparts.
I'm not the biggest fan of Star Wars, but the content as always was on point.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that
Really good video. Nice to see some Star Wars content!
Will you be doing the McFarlane BVS batman soon? I’m really excited to see your review and see which jokers he scales with.
If all goes according to plan, Earth 2 Superman Friday and BVS Batman on Sunday, then Catwoman and Bat Pod next week
@@5POAFigureReviews thank you, and thank you for your videos 😊
@@chr1spa77ett you're very welcome. Thanks for watching!
These have certainly drawn my attention; I might just buy some of the basic figures.
I'd love to see Maul, Boba, Obi-Wan (from the series), Leia (Boushh), Chewie, R2, 3PO, Rey, and Kylo Ren next.
Any of those would be great options
I really like them
Wow. Star Wars content!
Yeah, I needed a palette cleanse from the usual DC Multiverse and Marvel Legends
As @HappyBirthdayRoboto said, the peg on the side of the Stormtrooper blaster looks like an ammo magazine on the real one. Since they use lasers, I’ll say…power cell pack?
Honestly for $10 that pram that comes with Grogu might scale well with the black series and the lid coming down is a nice feature
I agree. I went to a local independent toy shop by me while this video was exporting to MP4, and they had the Black Series Grogu and Pram. This Epid Heroes Grogu is bigger and the pram is fine for being less than half the price.
@@5POAFigureReviews I think I'm going to pick up this epic heroes Grogu, may also get Luke to keep him in the backpack
It’s almost like the power of the force 2 line
Very true!
I picked up Mando and Vader as those were available. I didn't know Luke was in the line. I like them for the most part but as much as I advocate for the 5POA Star Wars toys I feel let down with these. They aren't really as good as the previous attempts at the same price. I remember when Hasbro was really hitting their stride with the 5POA and had working holsters added to them and then added some killer paint. We weren't quite half way through them recreating the original figure run in updated 5POA but it was rolling and then halted and now we're here and they don't really work with the older figures. It's a shame because I was really wanting them to continue on.
not huge fan of star wars( i never watched it, i’m too scared of liking it and then spending a lot of money on figures 😂) but a huge fan of the channel❤
Thanks! Yeah, I like Star Wars just fine but I have always just been overwhelmed by all the existing product. Hard to just jump in
first comment+ do black series
I have Darth Vader…he’s really cool
Yeah he is. I can't remember if I said in the video, but Darth Vader was probably the first action figure I ever had, so it really brings me back
@@5POAFigureReviews Really? Me too! I remember having this old Darth Vader figure from the release of Rogue One (A Star Wars Story) back in 2016, I think. The one I have and the one you reviewed are identical to it!
I wonder if they'd be worth it lol. Idk with a new love of the world of Nintendo characters could chill wiiiith lol
Thay need to make han and chewy
Agreed!
I didn’t hear about this line. I know there is new minimal articulation 3.75 and 6 inch lines to get a more affordable price point. I won’t be getting into one. I am particular with the black series figures.
Hey if you're already building a Black Series Collection, I say just keep going! I only have a few and I feel so behind on major characters that it feels hard to jump in. I like with this line I can get in on the ground floor
@@5POAFigureReviews I’ve got tons of the 3.75 and black series figures. I heard there will be a new series of 3.75 that have limited articulation like power of the force/jedi.
how come no one’s ever made a 7” scale star wars line?
Diamond briefly did but it didn't take off
I hope hasbro makes bad batch in this line at least😢
That's not a peg on the stormtrooper's blaster. That's the magazine.
Ah gotcha. Thanks for the info!
No, I think they're junk. The holes in the arms and back kill it for me.
I love your reviews but I really don't understand this rating. These figures are the size of a thumb, have a terrible amount of paint (even for Hasbro) and only 5 points of articulation. If these were unlicensed $2 products or happy meal toys I would understand but $10??? For that much on sale, you can sometimes buy full-fledged Marvel Legends or DC Multiverse. ;/
Thanks for the comment! I graded this line on a curve because it is clearly meant to be an affordable, entry-level Star Wars series aimed at kids and not us adult collectors.
What the hell is this…
Where's Boba Fett?
Is he part of this series? These were the only ones my Walmart had.
@@5POAFigureReviews Honestly...I don't know
Please don't spell Ahsoka's name wrong. It's my biggest SW pet peeve, and it pains me to no end. You wouldn't spell Vader's name wrong.
Fixes. Thanks for pointing it out to me.
