You need a keyboard that has either NKRO or 6KRO. Most mechanical keyboard have it. If you hold down multiple keys at the same time the on an N-Key Roll Over or 6-Key Roll over keyboard it continuously send the inputs through to the computer from all the buttons you are holding down. With 2048 it means you can hold down A-S-D and Left-Up-Down at the same time and build numbers very quickly.
