I loved watching these older AJ videos when I was first starting out in the game. I wasn’t around during the beta testing but I like the style of all of the in shop items during that period and it made me wish I had joined earlier to see it in person.
I feel like aj should do a similar thing that playstation is doing for their 30th anniversary, which is the option to use older consoles overlay/theme. It would be so cool to see modern animal jam items with the old artstyle
I remember around a few months ago I was REALLY fixated on older animal jam, so I remember watching this playlist called “animal jam nostalgia” that included her videos, only thing that played through my head the whole time was “I want to go to there.” And then I would also keep replaying the parts where she was in crystal sands because I LOVED THE OLD MAP (wrennypenny, member)

If it weren't for sagwasunshine's old tours of the beta game, most beta areas and items wouldve probably been lost media or at the very least only proven its existence by crappy old screenshots. wherever they may be, I hope they're doing well!!
Bro I remember finding an AJ iceberg on reddit and it mentioned the medical center and it's weird and disturbingly creepy "music" and how when when it got removed. I managed to find the OG "OST" on YT and it was so scary and disturbing i couldnt even get through the first few seconds of it (thanks anxiety disorder :') )

The med room, all the old items, the retro graphics that seemed so popular in online 3rd spaces back then, and the og crystal sands! Honestly, the remaking username thing is kind of a staple of the “young kid/teen on Animal Jam” experience. Several years ago, as a young kid/pre-teen maybe, I remade abrakadabraalakazam’s username but with special characters. Abra’s real account ended up getting deleted/banned, which made my edgy ass duplicate account the only remaining abrakadabraalakazam in the game. 💀 Obviously, I just thought I was being edgy back then, but I’d like to get back on there and pay homage to Abra in some way now that he’s unfortunately passed. The issue is that when I checked the account last week, which was the ONLY time I’ve logged into Animal Jam in a year, the account was on 12 days ago (false, by the way… I haven’t logged on there specifically in years…) so it might’ve been compromised. I’m not fully sure, but I’d like to try and find a way to recover it. Anyway, cool video dude! I’m glad I wasn’t the only one to try and recreate old AJ users.

From my memory, it showed off a lot of cool early stuff but they deleted it a while back and I can't find it anywhere. To be honest, I don't even know why they deleted it. They still have the launch trailer on their channel so I'm at a loss of why AJHQ went out of their way to purge that content.
