Some asinine police apologists that regularly appear here because the knocking shops are closed, are commenting that ‘using a mobile phone while riding a bike’ isn’t an offence. Firstly, the officer wasn’t using a mobile phone, he was lying. And even if he was, if its use affected control of his bike that could be a threat to himself or other road users it would be an offence of ‘Dangerous Cycling’ under section 28 of the Road Traffic Act 1988. The officer admitted he was fishing around to get his mobile phone. How could he possibly be in safe control of his bike by doing so. Thereby his stupid lie was an admission.
    www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1988/52/section/28
Yes, dangerous cycling is actually an offence. And weaving all over the road and trying to ride a bike with nothing else but your 1" cock would constitute dangerous.
In future, why not look it up on Google instead of insisting no such offence exists, officer?

When I was young lad and out playing with my mates in the garden area of our maisonette block, a Cop walked into the garden, rounded us all up and dressed us down telling us that we were going to be arrested for breaking the plate glass window of the local Co-op. We had been nowhere near it, and this was back in the days when kids were largely terrified of the Police and we were quaking in our shoes. After the Cop had left we all went round to the Co -op and there were no broken windows anywhere, so a complete lie just to intimidate us, bearing in mind that he walked into our garden to confront us as we were all sitting around on the lawn. I have never trusted the Police ever since and I am now 63 years old and I can honestly with hand on heart say that there has never been any occasion in my life to date where I have been glad for their help. I ran a business that was broken into and they turned up a day later and asked if I had upset anybody or had any enemies,I told them to go away!!

Ian - too right - here's one for you, which I posted up as a comment, it actually gets far worse than this, but it's a true story too long to be told in full here - hope you enjoy it! I say it as I have left the UK - hope you enjoy it! "I've written to a chief constable before - in Sussex - informing them of precise details of deliberate manipulation of the courts, constructive perjury, and more. I got a fob off letter back from someone else. The funniest bit was when I phoned their official info centre (in Lewis at the time) to get the address, and they didn't know who their Chief Constable was! Even when I asked "is it still such and such", they had to have a whip round of opinions, (which I could hear down the phone) until the answer came back "I think so". UK Police absolute kretins, need disbanding, same with the courts and social services - liars all. Pleased to have left the UK - my country that I once served for until my eyes were opened as to how it really works, by a few spiteful, and provably false, accusations by an ex. Ten Civil Court hearings, regarding our home, our son, court taking vast sums of money from me for her legal expenses, etc etc - I was never even informed of, so I never attended to defend myself. TEN! When I did attend the few I was informed of, I was NEVER allowed to speak, nor to represent myself - which is totally unlawful. The Police, all complaints procedures, and MP didn't give a shit, and I was refused even report numbers (repeatedly) by Sussex Police."

Rob, another nice piece of work. I sometimes wonder why there's no independent public driven watchdog that looks after the public interests in police services and police behaviour.
there really does need to be a public representation, that will sponsor founded and genuine public concerns back into the police services, something with teeth!

    I emailed Gareth Morgan:
I write to you with regard to the TH-cam video showing the very obvious professional misconduct of PC 5327 Paul Cotton and PC 24182 Lauren Buckle, which you are choosing to ignore.
It’s clear that if you were a man of integrity, who was honoured to be a Police Officer, you would have been shocked by their behaviour, not finding excuses for it.
Both my parents were police officers in Cleveland in the 1950’s. They’ll both be turning in their graves right now and weeping with shame.
Do the right thing Sir and gain back the trust of a public that has no faith in the ability of British Police Officers or their leaders.

London Bridge Terror Attacks? I'm not for the police the way they are, but I do understand that we need some sort of policing, because unlike your comment suggests, we do need to have them. We just need to make them actually obey the law, and seed out the corruption. As well a number of institutionalised changes.

    • @aviterdit525

I seem to remember the citizen arrest at the London terror bridge attack. Shortly before a policeman came up and shot dead the suspect. An ambulance and a prison van would have done. I’m not trying to trivialise the attack in any way, just saying.

@@aviterdit525 well I'm talking about the borough market when people were stabbed by multiple terrorist who were shot dead, after they rammed pedestrians on London bridge. You're just obviously not really running about the situation properly completely saying no to any form of policing is just ludicrous.

Thank god that the U.K. police are not armed and its left to a very small group of officers who have to pass an extremely rigorous training course and aptitude tests. I dread to think what the vast majority of the dim witted knuckle dragging cops that make it into the service with an axe to grind would do with a firearm. The thought is terrifying and should never ever be considered.

I need help crimebodge.. I have evidence of a conspiracy by three officers to cover up an assault on myself. I tried to go through complaints process but you know were that got me. I now have a s5po offence for 'swearing at officers' in Street, when on my police interview this was not even discussed and I 'stupidly' agreed to accept s5po for 'upsetting ladies in job centre'. I can explain better if I told you what happened.
