Actually it did start 100 years ago, silent films although I really don't think 'Bollywood' itself became such a mainstream popular thing until very very recently. Of course there were Indian films but Indian films alone does not 'Bollywood' make. There are also Canadian films, Russian films, hell...probably movies in Azerbaijan but it doesn't equal a phenomenon.

nah its just the fact that it's rare. it's extremely difficult to carry on the redhead gene. it took multiple generations (as in we sincerely have no clue which ancestor led to me having red hair) before a redhead showed up on my dads side whereas on my moms it skipped a generation to me. it's all luck and genes lol.

Seeing a lot of these comments... A video about natural redheads would just be a "profile of some people born with a specific trait" - and it would therefore not make sense for Allure. If you want that kind of content, you might check out a channel like Rachel Maksy or another historical/vintage channel that handles historical beauty topics in a way that is slightly less product/consumer/entertainment-industry focused. Allure is openly/famously about beauty trends, which is the focus of these Allure videos and.. uh... their entiiiiiire magazine/brand.
Now, could these videos be better in many ways? Yeah, prolly..

Agreed. I dont want to be a hater, but they show footage of stylists working on the models, but the end result looks uneven and unfinished! I heard the models are just the office co workers, so maybe the hair and makeup people are, too, and not professionals in the specific field?
I don’t mind people dyeing their hair red, I think it’s a huge compliment and I don’t have the patent on red hair just because I’m natural. That being said, there are TONS of natural redhead models out there, why aren’t we seeing any here??

Yeah I know. I was afraid of looking at the comments because of that. I'm pretty sure I would have seen a lot of stupid jokes about us that people think are just funny and acceptable when they're really offensive and have a huge impact on our self-esteem. So it's pretty cool there's none of that. Keep strong fellow ginger sister, our hair is our strength (well not really but since we almost all went through bullying because of that, keeping it aftewards shows strength).

Also, all that makeup was the absolute wrong shades for redheads. Like no. Stop with the pink and the cooler colours. Red hair comes with red based skin tones. Never use pink or bright blues.
Plus, like ninety percent of the later red heads were just red highlights/lowlights in dirty blonde or brunette hair.

@@brokenpencil634 i'm a ginger aswell and know quite alot of natural gingers and neither I or the others have naturally visible eyebrows. It is clear that the models in this video have colored their hair in one way or another and the eyebrows are drawn on. Nothing wrong with that ofc, I fill in mine aswell.
