@@dianaarash8826 yes pia can be one of leading airlines by its humble hospitality again. Akhlakh (hospitality, warmth and care) was and is main quality of pakistanis. Our Akhlakh is the reason why we are seeing a successful comeback in tourism. We just need more polite staff (no 'shehri naqra') and take care of hygiene, considering pia planes are reported to be unhygienic, also accessible tv screens then I don't see why not. Just like our tourism comeback our flag carrier airline will also have a successful comeback

sometimes 5-6 PIA planes used to land at at heathrow in the 80s including 2 747 and sometimes a boeing 707 and 1 or 2 a300s in a famous haeathrow spotter wrote that he has less pictures of PIA 747 or other aircraft cauz even in the 70s and ofcourse the 80s they were a very common sight at London heathrow airport

Those were the Golden days for Pakistan's flagship carrier .
It was considered the one of the best air carriers of the world.
The only way to bring back those days is to downsize her , because states should not be allowed to run airlines as they are an expensive burden on the taxpayers . If a superpower like USA could not run PAN AM despite it's strong economy , even the oil rich Kuwait was forced to downsize it's national carrier then why a poor state like Pakistan is still doing the same

AP-AYW B747-282B had a belly landing in 1986 . if you view the aircraft closely you can see the repair work carried out on the aircraft which was done with the assistance of boeing. The front gear and body gear and wing gear seem all overhauled .The aircraft must have been re engined look at the engine casing there look new. The video must have taken between 1987/1989.
