@Tom Silverheart thing is he's not competitive anymore only chance he has of winning is the electric race which isn't really a race it's a joke to class it as a race great guy but his day is over
@Tom Silverheart I don't think John is competitive now, that crash at the northwest was the end for him as a top racer, better he packs it in now so we can enjoy his wisdom and personality as a commentator or however else he can be involved in the sport, I would hate to see anything happen to him and I feel he has lost the edge you need to win, these guys push it to the very limit to win and John was one of the best ever but his day is over, like an old footballer when the pace has gone it's time to hang up the boots and that's just life.
The TT and road racing is a lot less about physicality (like MotoGP etc)... so age is less NB. He’s not done yet and he should continue as long as he’s got pace in him. Which he does. The Norton is terrible and his injuries were huge!
No other rider has carried on about his injury as much as JM. Clearly a sign he is ready to retire as he will never be competitive with the likes of Dunlop, Hickman & Harrison on the roads. Keep riding the Mugen & look into Classic TT perhaps John. You are one of the greatest riders ever, time to enjoy it & give the family a break!
Really?? Has Michael Dunlop had his day aswel then as other than winning the lightweight win tonight on a bike which is more than double the cost of anybody else's he's been nowhere. It's been a tough year for everybody
@@MegaPinklady84 I wouldn't say MD has had his day might take time for him to come to terms with Williams death but McGuiness will never be able to run with hickey or Harrison at that top level he's most definitely had his day and everyone knows it even he knows it too admitted as much himself
wolf blitzer no he hasn't at all haha, put him on a reliable Bike and you will be suprised. He's lapped at almost 133 before with plenty left in the tank..
@@MegaPinklady84 comeback to me in a year and McGuiness if he's still at TT will have done nothing again he cannot and will not run with Hickman or Harrison he is not on that level and he will not try to be he knows and admitted as much in an interview his day is over it's just a fact he's a legend but he has peaked and will not return to that top level every dog has its day
wolf blitzer a certain Irish chap played this card back in 2000 and he got lucky due to DJ breaking down. We could go on for days about this, my opinion is John with a reliable package will be right up there next year

To get first in a tt with them bikes is not a tt win no competion and shud not go on a tally against goeys wins
it should be totally in its own category .. the wins count but not in the combustion engine races perhaps.
