Wow man I really liked what you did with this, its so neat and organized, I should have hired you to fill mine lol. I have put mine through hell, I launch it 10 feet from my kayak onto land, dirt, mud, has been left out during a rain storm. I find every trip depending on the nature of it my needs are a little different so I fill it with different things, and put the roll in different duffles, car, expedition packs etc. It takes some getting used to but it fast becomes indispensable in the field. Phenomenal editing, it doesn't go unnoticed!
Canadian Prepper Thank you sir. The design and functionality will make this a mainstay in my Survival Kits builds for quite awhile. Top notch construction and materials doesn't go unnoticed either. Be well in the bush! I'm jealous of the 1000mm Silky btw! Goodness! tree felling javelin.
Canadian Prepper. You know what would be really cool (feel free to steal my upgrade idea) would be an optional harness/shoulder strap/backpack like carry system so you don't have to put it in a pack, but carry it like a pack.
Damn, I was about to write that idea but you beat me to it :D. But yes, it doesn't make much sense to put a bag inside a bag, right? So a system that is similar to the harness that canoers use for those waterproof barrels for instance.
I wrote a comment earlier but had a poor signal in the bush so didnt transmit. I honestly think you did a great job organizing your roll (should have got you to organize mine!), as time goes on you will continue to build it to suit your needs, every time I got out with it I add different things. Once you use it once on an extended or even overnight camping trip you won't not take it again. I really appreciate the depth of your video presentation its nice to see other people in the preposphere take in delivering their viewers a comprehensive review. The editing is superb, thanks for the review and feedback- CP
This is exactly how my bug out bag is set up. Easy, not to heavy and everything is organized. I added a back pack tent and sleeping bag and I’m all set.
Great review. I really like the Bug Out Roll and think the Canadian Prepper did an excellent job creating this well thought out and extremely durable product. I can't wait until I get one . Thanks for sharing.
Small and compact.... You could just take it and throw it in your car and take it anywhere And that's a lot of stuff in a small pack neat and convenient Great video!!!
Funny thing is.... I cant fit all of that gear into the same backpack but they way it interlocks and synergies together... makes alot of gear fall into a much smaller space.
I'd suggest dipping the nails from your nailkit in some wax to coat them against rusting. Waxed nails slide better in the wood while hammering into a board.. the wax can also be scraped off to help starting a fire.
I really like the concept of the bugout roll but it needs to be made lighter and be kept just as strong. I recently switched my get home bag from a 5.11 Rush 72 to a real hiking bag because I would save a couple of pounds in weight and also the hiking packs are always easier to carry for longer distances due to their design. Again to me the concept of the bugout roll is sound but has a few more iterations to go before it’s usable for the purpose it was designed for. Thanks for sharing.
To me it's something very likely to be used in a car, adventuring, camping, etc., and just in general. I might have SHTF stuff in it or a combination of SHTF and regular camping needs. Throw it in a backpack like DFS here did if I need to move with it, but that wouldn't be its primary role, obviously, which is "carryable organization."
Could you make a video explaining how you would survive in a situation like puerto rico. No power for 4 to 6 months, no work, looters, how to find food and water. More of a realistic aftermath survival with very limited beginning preparation. No generator or preplanned major items. Please and thank you.
Bebop The Wanderer Make a 7 day bug out bag, stack lots of clean water and purification tablets/filters, MREs, or fishing poles, generators or solar power mini or panels, and last but not least big knife and a gun or two with ammo for self defense
You guys totally need to fix all those lashing/compression straps on that 3 day assault pack. Fyi on my rothco large transport pack I put itw replacement buckles everywhere I could and used elastic strap keepers to fix the floppy longer straps.
I feel like that in a climate such as here in Norway, it could work for an urban environment. For a wilderness scenario, a sleeping bag is required. But again, maybe ideal for an urban setting.
You need a fold up survival .22 LR rifle and ammunition. You really have a compulsion to stay extra clean, with all those wipes and towels. LOL. Great video.
I've seen these. Very nice rig, but it's pretty darn expensive. Tho a big plus is that you can ad on to it if ya want. All kinds of extras' on the website!
Darn Darn Darn! I have to cough up $700 next week to my Dentist to get a Tooth Pulled, or I'd be ordering a pair for the Wife and I. FYI, Survival Lilly did a Video a few days ago reviewing her set up for the Bug Out Roll. But she decided to use it as a Car Kit, and keep her Main BOB at home. Different Strokes for Different Folks, but I do understand why she chose to do so. Check it out when you get a chance. It's the Car Survival Kit. But I can see ME setting up one like yours and shoving it into an ALICE Pack with the Heavy/Bulky Stuff on the Outside. Of course, Christmas IS coming. Thanks Chris!
The weight of the roll could be so much more you could carry, that would be fine for a car until rescue, but not for bug out, onces equals pounds, pounds equal pain. Just put your stuff in a bag, know where everything is at, and use that weight your saving in food or to save weight. It's a waste unless you have OCD or so anal you have to be that organized which case you won't live a day anyways.
James Bevan As I stated in the video. That packed filled only weighs 24lbs in total! Not bad at all. Typically aim for 40lb for a completed Rig since it is what I can hike with currently. I still have weight and room to round out the kit. Also this I merely like you said.. A grab and go System. I just chose the back pack to transport the Organizer.
DropForgedSurvival i think it's nice, I just know how much 1000D is heavy, if you want the added weight great, but for me seems a lot of added weight just for organization. But all in all I think it's great, but I personally would only use it for a vehicle emergency kit, or maybe a boat. I'm just saying personally I would rather replace that weight with some freeze dried food.
I think you actually said it yourself already, the roll has so many options that you don't need it just for bugging out. Rescue workers, first aiders etc. would love this roll, and it would definitely be perfect to have in a car. As far as the weight etc. I can see your point, but in a bug out situation you probably won't hike every day, just to your bug out location, where you can then hang this thing off a branch and have a hanging cupboard of all the gear, not including food etc. :).
Well, i meant more like getting lost in nature. The housing is so dense that you could hardly walk 10 kilometers without finding a road with cars or houses, even in the biggest forests. Though on invasion perspective, im not sure. I like the videos though.
Great job with the roll Canadian Preppers Goofy I noticed a stainless steel water bottle with orange cord wrapped around it is that cord a mesh or what is that
Kevin Romas One of my families Klean Canteens with a Wazoo Paracord Hide Koozie! 125ft of Paracord "rapid deployment weave" Fire Cord Draw String, Ceramic Striker, Ferro Rod, and Whistle. It's pretty darn nifty
Dear Chris, I had been binge watching your shows in a cray2x COVID-19 time like this, knowledge is power. I wonder what was the total weight of this contraption? It looks kinda heavy...
Is there a good pack that's already equipped that you would recommend? I want to get a bag for SHTF but don't want to shop for individual items to fill the bag with. Thank you!
And the U Pack Pro, they both have packs where you can store specific items. What you need to do is make a master list showing where your items are located. The Uncharted one is too expensive for me -$600- but you can build you own by buying from Amazon for under $500. I like the storage idea myself: fire, water, food, communication, container, cutting, protection, warmth and others. All fire goes in the fire bag, water in the water bag etc. 👍
Canadian prepped hit a homer in with this! I would love to own one of these but money's tight. This would solve a lot of not knowing where items in my B.O.B are. I like the way you set yours up. Great review!
This would make sense for a month-6 month bag, but all of this for 72 hrs? You don't need all of this for that time to many knifes and fire capability. You only need 1 lighter and the 5 c's of survival.
$165??!!! I get the dude needs to make a few bucks buuut I'm pretty sure I got a few old pairs of jeans, some tarp and a sewing machine laying around somewheres =)
Yeah, these things are over $200 Australian Dollars.. Anyone with basic to intermediate sewing and pattern design skills could make this with $20-30 worth of high quality material, and much less with cheaper and thinner (but still relatively durable) material..
Just checked this rifle out.. Cool as fuck.. They should make a single shot (non semi-automatic) version for Australia... We're not allowed to have semi-automatic rifles here, just single shots..
I really like the concept of the bug-out roll, but the major downside to all of this is that you are toting around too much extra weight---all in the bags. I'd say that between the roll and backpack you've got 8-9 lbs of extra weight. In my experience, most civilians in average shape can maybe carry around about 25-pounds before they start having issues. 25-pounds might not sound like much weight, but the average guy would be uncomfortable after a couple hours. Your total gear really needs to be under 20-pounds. The more bag-weight you add into the equation the less gear you can carry. Don't get me wrong, I like the concept but Zip-Lock bags would be better. I'd say ditch the roll. I also encourage people to load out a backpack and hike with it for a couple hours to get a feel for the REAL weight. They might be surprised how difficult it is if they aren't in shape.

I'm going to tell you something. One of the most important things about prepping is being super organized. This is a good idea no doubt.
Organizer and Keeping everything clear and simple helps when in any emergency... Flood, Medical, Wilderness, Urban, etc.
Put small silica packets in your pockets. It just helps keep the moisture out. Especially with storing your water filter cartridges and batteries.
Great idea
This is exactly how my bug out bag is set up. Easy, not to heavy and everything is organized. I added a back pack tent and sleeping bag and I’m all set.
That's a great idea!
That thing is ingenious, mad props to Canadian Prepper! Nice job as always Chris.
Thanks alot bud.
Canadian Prepper did a great job creating this organizer. I will be getting one soon myself.
It permeates high quality
Great review. I really like the Bug Out Roll and think the Canadian Prepper did an excellent job creating this well thought out and extremely durable product. I can't wait until I get one . Thanks for sharing.

Most thorough kit I’ve ever seen.
Wow! Thats one of the coolest pack i've ever seen! I want one of those! I like how well thought out it is! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching. I love this Organizer Alot!
He did a a good job on this one. Awesome review on this product nice loadout
Thanks alot!
Amazing array of equipment and gear! Very impressive!
The Organizer is pretty slick and ingenious
Totally addicted to your Organizational Management skills in this Bug out Roll...well Done !!
😎👍🍁🌟🌟🌟🌟
Love the roll idea. That's just brilliant.

Wow, I need one of those rolls! So cool!
SailingandSuch Links in the video Description! It's definitely a worthwhile investment for sure
I've visited and checked it out. Thanks for the info. Finished watching the video and added a few things to my wishlist. Thanks for sharing.
this might be one of the best bug out items i have seen
I love this thing!

Fyi on my rothco large transport pack I put itw replacement buckles everywhere I could and used elastic strap keepers to fix the floppy longer straps.
The compression can be useful once its filled out and they are needed.
WOW... awesome video and you did a great job listing your items down below.
It is highly requested to do it... It wasnt easy.. lol
I feel like that in a climate such as here in Norway, it could work for an urban environment. For a wilderness scenario, a sleeping bag is required.
But again, maybe ideal for an urban setting.
ArmoredGaming Add it to a Rig as I stated! This for me is an extensive gear Organizer! The Maker loves Canada! He knows the cold
Nice setup! Awesome showcase, loved all the Battlbox items!
William Bagley Thanks Will. Kit building, field testing, and learning new things is the most fun of what I do on this channel
Absolutely Gunna have to buy one of these. Loving the red color choice
Man..i miss this guy
DFS , great informational video as always. Thanks again for your time and effort in getting this information out there.
Thanks alot Alan
Should have shoulder straps on the roll itself, would reduce the need for the additional backpack and the additional weight
I should it with shoulder straps in the video.. Yes that is a good method also. I prefer the other method. Just my quirk.
Awesome bag! Great break out as well, thanks for sharing!
Gotta get one of these if I can afford it . great video with great gear ideas
Thanks Troy!
Amazing kit man! Great job! Thank you for the demonstration!
I love this setup, can you make a more in-depth video on the items in this kit if you haven't done so already pls!
It is more less spread out across my channel through various videos and field tests!
You need a fold up survival .22 LR rifle and ammunition. You really have a compulsion to stay extra clean, with all those wipes and towels. LOL. Great video.
I got 2 blister kits from Walmart, it's called the
blister relief kit 23pcs ,
total resources company makes them.
Nice extensive kit!!!
Micheal Domayer Thanks a lot Mike
I want one of the red ones to organize my med supplies
Kaylynn Strain I like the color scheme and clear visibility of that one
Hello Chris, looks like a fantastic kit. How are you all getting on state side. Take care and hope the family are all doing well. Craig.🇮🇲👍
Doing well now. Thanks Craig!
I've seen these. Very nice rig, but it's pretty darn expensive. Tho a big plus is that you can ad on to it if ya want. All kinds of extras' on the website!
John Moco Not really... My 5.11 Rush Bag which is a Stupid Stupid Popular bag set me back $249. This... for what it is.. is a steal
DropForgedSurvival I've got two ARMY issue Alice packs that cost me just over forty bucks each. The money saved went into more, and better gear.
John Moco That is awesome. I heard a lot of old school military surplus store got cleaned out in FL last week
Holy shit great video. Keep on making them👍👍👍👍👍
Joel Stein Thank you Joel
Your welcome dude

Leslie Kovacs Hrmm Interesting! With that said it seems to show how versatile and modular this kit really can be.
Would love to have one of these gear rolls 👍
The Shanester It's worth saving and investing into in my opinion
Sweet. Always enjoy these, good source of ideas.
Peter Reese Thanks Pete
Where is your Bush pot?
I use a small ruck with giant mess kit.
The plastic pockets will not last.
I love it
Dustin Driggers This answered a lot of things for organization for me!
Forged survival what would u recommend for a easy knife sharpener.not a field sharpener
Xavier Cassidy My Vipersharp is about as simple an "ding dong" as I've ever used. Plus it works not matter what
Love your vids you got a new subscriber
Welcome Aboard!
DropForgedSurvival I will tell my friends about you
This is awesome
Greg Heysquierdo Thanks Greg! This Unit is what I've been looking for, for awhile now. Just didn't know what it was entirely until I saw it
DropForgedSurvival it's all in one. I think it's genius.
Did Canadian Prepper get caught up on the production of these rolls?
That is a question for Canadian Prepper himself.
Are u sure this is a 72 he survival kit and not a Minecraft kit for starting ur own colony?
Very smart bag...Like it ! Thanks for sharing...
Do all the links still work and is there a kit like this already with everything or it's all separate
You need a speedy stitch sewing awl. Get rid of the crappy sewing kit.
Actually that is a great idea.
The weight of the roll could be so much more you could carry, that would be fine for a car until rescue, but not for bug out, onces equals pounds, pounds equal pain. By the time you add firearms, food, an axe, ammo, water, extra clothing you need to buy a truck to haul it. What is the total weight?
Thinks she runs circles around u.lol
Great vid as always
That she does... but in all fairness im lugging around the tripods and gimbals.. lol Im getting faster. LMAO
I dont know why im watching these videos. My country is far too small to actually ever be in an emergency situation :P
Lol That logical seem to make no sense? Because its small its immune to attack?
Well, i meant more like getting lost in nature. The housing is so dense that you could hardly walk 10 kilometers without finding a road with cars or houses, even in the biggest forests. Though on invasion perspective, im not sure. I like the videos though.
how about adding a blister kit with the bag
Not a Bad Idea at all!

nothing under $500 that I have seen. Most pre-built kits CAN Not and in most cases will not be tailored for your exact wants or needs locally.
Thanks for the great idea
that is a nifty item
mark Whitt Nifty it is!
How comes no light anywhere wet or dry matches?
No light?
DropForgedSurvival the matches that will light even if you get them wet.

Marlah4 Heck yeah he did! This thing is worth the investment. This isn't a "whimsical purchase" this is for thinking long term
Thats what i like about you chris.... thank you
Awesome! lol
Hi, what's the weight on all the gear loaded with the CP TOOL ROLL all together? Thanks!!!!
Nice setup.
How much do you think you spent putting this kit together?
so i need a maxpedition vulture 2 to carry it around.. that sum pricy kit rit there
Could ya Name the grey rainjacket? Which Brand is it?
I did say what it was... Its from uncharted Supply.
Organization!
This would make sense for a month-6 month bag, but all of this for 72 hrs? You don't need all of this for that time to many knifes and fire capability. You only need 1 lighter and the 5 c's of survival.
How much does this cost, fully loaded? In US Dollars please, ex despatch costs. Thanks.
I break costs down in my $5,000 Bug Out Bag series.
What are those rations?
Food Rations
Well duh I mean what company can't find them anywhere online they look awesome due to the small size
DropForgedSurvival dude, really? What company?
ALL IN ONE😮👍
Does that roll fit in a 40L pack?
Should pretty easily.
thanks
want to have that package
without having to buy one by one
can you do a review of the cold steel bushman i saw in your video
I have a basic Bug Out Kit. But I need more for it. Is there anything that is on the cheap side that I can get.
Where can get hold of one of these bug out rolls in South Africa
Canadian Prepper doesnt sell them with the radio pouches like yours?
Love the bag, how can i buy one?
G. Ro Thank you. I always post links in the video description for simplicity
Can you review the msk1 please ?
Giovanni Triolo I did try to. We contacted Dave over at UST and that was a no go. But sadly we can't afford a $399-$500 Knife simply for review.
Is there a link for the eating utensils
shawn b There should be. I'll check and add it for you if not.
Still not finding the link
Do you have a link for the back pack
im confused did it come with all this or did you buy all this
Over time I purchased the gear.
I want it where can I order it
Where did you get that tool holder in the third row since when I took a look at the link there was no option or mod it was all clear pockets
it was part of the original system
What is the weight?
The weight of?
@@DropForgedSurvival Don't be coy. He's asking about the weight of the kit.
Put a gun or a Compatible Henry Rifle with all the parts in the stock
Solid
Just checked this rifle out.. Cool as fuck.. They should make a single shot (non semi-automatic) version for Australia...
We're not allowed to have semi-automatic rifles here, just single shots..
Man where do you find all that stuff
Lots of Time and Research.
What was the final weight?
Matt Kaufman I Put that in the Video.
Matt Kaufman check around 2:30-3:00 mins
I just rewatched the whole video again and didnt hear what you say what your total pack weight was. Just curious, Im thinking 35-40lbs.
Matt Kaufman It is in a Text at the 2:40min mark... Roughly 24lbs
THanks, I was more listening then watching.
Dropforgedsurvival use titan survival cord
The Fishing line Kinks up alot... It isnt bad at all. I have ALOT of cordage in this rig overall though
dose the roll come with gear already in it
nah bud just the bag
ok thanks
I really like the concept of the bug-out roll, but the major downside to all of this is that you are toting around too much extra weight---all in the bags. I also encourage people to load out a backpack and hike with it for a couple hours to get a feel for the REAL weight. They might be surprised how difficult it is if they aren't in shape.
u r rite
Where can I get one?does it come with the items or without?
Comes without the gear
wow so jealous
total system carry weight
