Spy Dancer was my absolute favorite of the whole season, and that art style is exactly like you said, I couldn't put it together but it does look like rough sketches of fashion, very interesting. The story was beautiful and the art style was really unique to me, also totally caught me off guard and made me tear up at the end. Edit: Fuck, wrote that comment halfway through the episode, made me cry again at the end, lol.
Oh man studio Mir and La Cachette completely blew my noggin straight open, that animation quality was on another level. They always come correct with the insane levels of animation : D

Episode 6 wrecked me. The perfect distillation of what Star Wars really is at its core. It isn’t pew pew and laser swords, it’s loss and trauma and the cost of fascism.
Episode 5 the Dark Head is easily the greatest Star Wars animation that I've ever seen, period! Coming from Studio Mir who animated the Legend of Korra.
God, most of the other Comments are so Negative! The Dark Head is So good! It shows how the war in Star Wars isn’t so Black & White, even though the Jedi and the Sith are practically on that Divided Spectrum. I think had sequel Trilogies started with this mindset and expanded upon it, it would’ve been better received.
People who think they are righteous are blinded to the darkness within that all human being have. Once you accept your capacity for evil then you can work towards being good, not acting in anger but acknowledging your pain and working through it so you treat people well. That's partly why I like Star Wars. It's an excellent fable. (The other reason why I like Star Wars: Mandalorians).
I don't think Disney has shyed away from the Xenophobia they haven't added any aliens to the Empires ranks. Legends are the ones who introduced aliens into the Empire like (thrawn)
In legends I think they were exceptions but it was also not common, in andor it is shown how the empire treated humans from primitive societies such as the aldhani
Fourth was really comedic and wholesome but 5 and 6 were so intense.5 felt like watching an anime with that fight choreography,6 story was on par with second short,probably my favourite of this season :)
The dancer episode is like a mix of three Avatar episodes. We took the episode with Ty Lee and the circus, then added the episode with the attack on the water tribe and a little more from Korra
My favorite episode out of the three of these is definitely Journey To The Dark Head cause of the animation the story and the fight scenes and can I just say that pilot was hot lol
It’s really hard to pick one favourite coz their all so good in their own way!! Still have the last three to go. But so far sith, screecher’s reach and spy dancer are my faves atm !!! And I do have a soft spot for I am your mother coz being from the uk I grew up in aardman.
Studio Mir as an anime studio is in my opinion better than most of the studios showcased from the first season. The first season presented much that overly familiar and lazy animation with basically 2 or 3 images for each shot just alternated, with hardly any animation at all. And I can say that confidently because I just watched season 1 yesterday. And I actually liked it far less than I remembered. Also, I'm not sure who wrote the original episode, because there is a subbed version, but this Studio Mir episode has far better English translations than much of season 1.
Did noticed; you changed your shirt. Must have stopped between episodes. I loved these episodes; can't wait until you see the others. Some of these episodes are amazing. There's one need on Indian style movies, which was beautiful

The Aardman episode has so many Easter eggs it’s ridiculous. I’ve watched it 3 times now picking out new things each time.

Don't think you noticed but it was Denis Lawson himself who provided the voice for Wedge Antilles in Aardman's Episode 4. A nice touch.

2:07 if you look at the posters on the wall, one is of Hera from Rebels. Another looks to be Star Weaver, the band from Visions season 1.
Founders of studio Mir were consisted of people who worked on Avatar the Last Airbender as well. There is a reason why they got selected for Korra.

You should definitely check out Arthur Christmas when the holidays roll around. It's easily among the best Christmas movies. You'd love it.
