As someone who grew up watching over dramatic portrayals of saas bahu in tv serials. I'll say this is the most realistic and wholesome potrayal. No rona dhona, sabotaging, sugar coating or panting the saas as evil and the bahu as innocent.
Maya genuinely wants Monisha to change and Monisha admits that a mother in law like her is better for her than a "yes man". And it's lowkey wholesome in my eyes.
Monisha's speech was very good. It was realistic of the relations between mothers and daughters-in-law. Maya was quite touched and even got teary eyed at one point. Naturally she was annoyed later on, not expecting this from Monisha.
I think she was annoyed because she was feeling guilty but monisha proved her right again and that's why she was happy again

Apart from being very funny this is one of the best acted shows of all time. Every nuance,every expression is so well captured by all actors..not to mention the awesome BGM.

In many episodes, maya has said clearly, "I love that man". They have fun banter in the older days of their lives. They have had lived an amazing life together and are just best friends now. Their unconditional love has been shown many a times. In fact, when indu goes missing she actually prayed for his well being and when she is not well, indu is the one who is by her side taking care of her unconditionally. This is just a fun banter where he just puts in the real annoying things about Maya.
Best time to watch Sarabhai vs Sarabhai is when you sad, tensed .. e.g before exams . It just refreshes your mind ❤

Honestly, it will be tough to manage a daughter in law like Monisha in real life.. can clearly see the struggle of Maya in order to adjust with Monisha, how she tries to keep her calm and show her dil to improve in a good way calling her "Monisha betaaa" 😂😂. though she is forcing herself not to get angry by the annoying things that Monisha do😜
