Wow..was just watching old vids of Kobe Bryant's and the other 8 pls lives that perished..looking at the Helicopter crash site and then saw this pop up. So sorry for the families involved. They probably don't even know yet..sincere condolences.💔
It's not very far away. The pilot canceled a very, very safe ILS landing in exchange for a high performance show off landing..............and killed 3 other people.
The airport is surrounded by nothing but residential areas. Where I work the planes are a couple hundred feet above us. I'm surprised we haven't been hit by planes yet. Insane
@@TheSDX3 Gillespie Field was built in the 1940s when the whole area was open land. This seems to be a case of people moving under busy airspace, not a new airport encroaching on residents. Seems rather silly to complain.
Planes should NEVER fly above residential neighborhoods... You take a risk by flying, that's expected... but the people on the ground do not need to be apart of this risk.
You have absolutely no idea what air travel entails if you think that is even remotely possible. That’s like saying there should never be more than one car allowed on a roadway within 2 miles of another car, to avoid the chance of car accidents. For grins and giggles, I’d love to hear your plan though, if it’s anything more than shutting down all commercial air travel in the USA and returning to train travel and increased car travel (which causes orders of magnitude more death than the rare plane crash).
A reminder to be spiritually fit in this life. R.I.P.
Now like a reminder NOT TO FLY A PLANE IN STORMY WEATHER. It's not like the air strips in el cajon and Santee are surrounded by........ ..... Homes.
Yeah , that’ll help 🙄
Prayers for the families of this tragedy
Wow
My condolences to their families and friends .This is horrible .
And the pilot canceled a ILS landing for high performance unsafe landing.
Just horrible

Where is the runway in respect to the crash site then...Ive heard the Control tower and pilots audio, he was meant to be turning for the runway!!

@@James-vj5hz that's true. Now that I think of it.but the more this happens, something is eventually going to give

It's one thing to have an opposing opinion, it's quite another to put people down in the process of expressing it.
We need a government mandate to ban all planes over populated areas.
@@dmimcg a "mandate" is shit... we need real laws / regulations.

El Cajon iis one of the few cities where a plane crash can actually improve the view
