I was out this morning with many boats off that East Island from the Mouth of Brazos & I threw everything I had. 2 guys right across from me, like 50y was smoking big Specs on Croaker. Know one was catching but them
@@3rdCoastFishin thank you for doing that which one do you think will work better dead or alive with shrimp I'm just kind of curious what you think and that goes for anyone that wants to come also
Not saying that I've never seen flounder or red disrespect caught on dead shrimp and just saying I've seen mostly trash fish caught with that shrimp black drum stuff like that
I would still like to see the video whenever you make it but thanks for the input I love going down to the ocean and fishing better than fresh water now and I'm trying to learn as much as I can about ocean fishing thanks for all your videos keep up the hard work
@@3rdCoastFishin simple people freelone I get a chatter weight small 1.5-2 foot leader 3-0 kale hook and cast the croaker is alive but swims to the bottoms you have to pop it hard enough to make him mover around but not hard enough to drown it and kill it quick, on a good day using the technique me and my buddy are catch over 20 easy
Should have someone with you so you fish the two baits equally at same time. I still agree with shrimp tho frfr. Try shrimp vs finger mullet. I think shrimp always win
I tend to use croaker more than the shrimp. Especially this time of year. The thing is when using croaker u have to give it a few pops every couple of minutes can’t just let it sit there. Do that and trust me u will catch a ton of trout right now.
Excellent
Thanks

Never know
Have you tried doing a live shrimp and dead shrimp to see what they like better
No but I will
@@3rdCoastFishin thank you for doing that which one do you think will work better dead or alive with shrimp I'm just kind of curious what you think and that goes for anyone that wants to come also
Dead shrimp usually catch a bunch of trash fish and bs like pinfish catfish stuff like that live shrimp you're going to catch specs reds flounder

Shrimp!
👍
I'm from Mississippi here we have Barrier Islands at the Island we use Croaker's at the Islands shrimp inland to me either one is a good bait
Nice never used offshore🤔
Congrats on 4K man!
Thanks man appreciate it
I've caught reds, black drum, trout, lady fish sharks on both. Just depends on when, where and what bitting
And flounder
What !
Thanks bro. I bit for shrimps always use that and its effective for me.. fish on
It's the best
New subscriber from South Texas, I have to say shrimp, nice video tight lines my friend 🤙
Thanks and enjoy
Keep it up bro 💯
Thank you I will do that lol
The disadvantage of live shrimp is that you spend too much time catching junk fish sometimes
Yep got to move when that happends
Ill battle you with croaker lol
Time and place
@@3rdCoastFishin wading
Bet
Croker keeps away alot of pesky fish, pin fish,Croker, hard heads ect
On this day was keeping away trout's reds and flounder too
croaker need to be worked, cant just let it sit because it will not move once it get to the bottom.
Sweet I'll try it
What kind of hook do you use for live shrimp? And what size hook 🪝
#5 circle hook
I would always think shrimp does best
Me too lol we right
@@3rdCoastFishin yeah lol
😂😆😂😆😂😆
I love how your ending song sounds like the theme song from Majora's Mask lol good stuff bro.
LoL have no idea what that song is
I think it depends on the time of year.
Probably
you gotta know how to work croaker
That I don't know

I will try that
Shrimp produces more fish but croaker produce bigger fish in my short experience with them.
I figured more quality fish
It also depends on location, conditions and how its fished will determine what baits work better than others.
Fish were there maybe need to be a bit bigger fish to hit a croaker
I caught a seagull and a catfish with those expensive ass croakers Sunday. Should've got shrimp!
Lmfao 😆😂😆😂😆😂
Shrimp kills it inshore fishing. Croaker does well offshore.
Never used for offshore 🤔
Depends on how hard you wanna work. The shrimp wear me out sometimes 🥵 catching croaker. You can kick back and relax a little with croaker. 😎
Yea I feel that
All ive ever caught on croaker is sharks, shrimp is the way to go
Agreed
Shrimp all the way!
Damn straight
shrimp
Correct
Should have cut those ladyfish up and put them on bottom. I caught some huge trout on it last Thursday and Friday. I was not expecting trout.
I kept the big one
