"60 Minutes," the most successful television broadcast in history. As of 2019 and further controversial tests - the painting is still believed to be hidden behind the wall but recovering it would surely destroy Vasari’s masterpiece. And due to the condition it is thought to be in, The Battle of Anghiari would be damaged beyond restoration.

You answered the question we all want to know, after this older 60 Minutes broadcast. So, we are still left with speculation.
well even as of 2019, that was not accurate. There has never been any evidence to suggest the painting was ever done, and the man you see in this video did drill holes into Vasari's work in 2011 and destroyed part of it. It led to no further evidence that any painting at all exists behind the work.. As of 2020, the consensus in the art world is that Leonardo never even started The Battle of Anghiari because he never invented a technique to actually do it. It was all just a concept and then never happened.
If there is one person that I could ever have lunch with it would be Leonardo da Vinci

He’s not touching the painting...you can clearly see he is close to it but not touching it because you can see his whole hand shadow on the wall. If he had his hand on it you wouldn’t see the whole hand shadow...

They do, it's in the intro monologue. This one was from April 2008.

this particular painting has been floating around for many years. I believe it was made by Bernardino Luini. he was a student of leonardo and never used halos to distinguish between saint and sinner.
Leonardo was an art instructor. there was no paper but lamb skin, which is difficult to draw on so they used a slab of poplar wood. maybe a foot in diameter. give or take an inch. if you look at the salvator mundi(latin for the christ one) you first notice the person is wearing a dress?! in those days women wore hoods, long sleeve, dress that draged on floor and a straight collar so as not to show clevage. long hair dainty hands. no beard. the painting on wood is student size. when the student mastered painting they would go on to paint on large canvas, frescos.murals. etc.If this painting was made by leonardo it would have also had a Halo. christies and sotherbys are crooks.they brought this painting for 1,000 and paid off all fake authenticators
So, you believe Salvator Mundi is fake? Not a Leonardo? There was a documentary made about Salvator Mundi. Is this what the documentary came down to?
Salvator mundi means savior of the world. The Mona Lisa is 18inx12in or smaller and also has no halo. Sotheby's paid 80million for the painting. And those are just the few things I know you got wrong with my limited knowledge. All that said I'm 65/35 against it being a DaVinci. Obviously for different reason.

Leonardo da Vinci completed the painting in 1505, but its whereabouts have been a mystery ever since. “Needless to say,” remarked The Museum of Flight Senior Curator Matthew Burchette, “this news has rocked the art world! When working on projects like this and you are on scaffolding you Build a protective housing to encapsulate priceless or anything of significance underneath the working area this is a complete nonsense sensationalized piece of garbage

Just remove a part of the current painting, somewhere high up, and without telling the art fanatics, and explore what's behind it. Why do bureaucrats make it so difficult? Nobody can see or tell from ground level, they should cut the bs and get the job done.

why can't they search/drill from the other side of the wall???
They can't drill in from the other side because they don't know where Leonardo's work is located on the wall (if it is actually there), so they would risk damaging the art work they are searching for (which is 1000% not an option for a Da Vinci work!).
The fresco they drilled into is a masterpiece in it's own right, but it's not a Da Vinci - and as the artist Vasari was a fan of Da Vinci and had clearly made an effort 450 yrs ago to protect a fresco beneath (where other artists would just paint over the previous work), the museum begrudgingly gave the OK to drill a few VERY small holes through Vasari's painting to access the air gap between the walls.
Also, it's possible that there is another fresco on the other side of the wall as well (they are common in that area of the building) - so you'd have the same issues with drilling & damage as Vasari's work but with the added risk of damaging the potential Leonardo. No go.

................. Everyone knows Jesus is the light. Leonardo da Vinci would be strung up, beaten and fed to wild dogs for painting Jesus surrounded in black. Impossible.
This painting is painted way more in the style of Rembrandt than that of Leonardo da Vinci?

Just take the painting off and drill into the wall wtf
They are frescos - they painted the art directly onto the wall, so there's no canvas to take down & no way to get behind the paint. And after 450 years it all becomes incredibly fragile - they barely clean the artwork anymore because they might brush the paint off along with the dust!
