    Hiii, how is life like after graduating? Would you say a major in computer science is worth it? Are there job opportunities?

      Graduating during a pandemic had its challenges, but I will say there were plenty of job opportunities as a computer science major. I think it does depend on what you want for your career. It’s hard to say if it’s worth it yet because I’ve just started working, but so far so good!

    Hi I’m thinking about applying here. Do you have any pros and cons and what are you thoughts?

      Hi, Kylee! I loved going to DU but there were definitely good and bad parts. I wasn't a huge fan of the Computer Science department (it got better while I was there), so if you know what you're planning to major in I'd try and get a feel for the department. I was pretty active in clubs and sorority life which I really enjoyed! I also liked that there were lots of leadership opportunities, nature not too far away, and downtown just a light rail ride away! Let me know if you have any other questions, I'm happy to share my thoughts!

      Not too often, usually a couple times a year!

    has being a computer science major been difficult for you?

    • @EllenGee

      Computer Science was definitely a challenging major for me, but I recently graduated and am really proud that I fought my way through it! There were times I had to put in a lot of extra hours of self-learning, TA and professor office hours, and tears though.

      Hi, Karina! When I filmed this video, I was living in my sorority house which is a little off campus!

      @@karinajones3300 so happy you found it helpful! I'm sure it's tough getting a feel for different campuses right now.

      @@EllenGee it definitely is, though a positive thing about exploring colleges right now is that a lot of colleges have put up virtual tours on their websites that they didn't have before this year, so people who might not have been able to visit certain campuses even under normal circumstances can get a more in depth view :)

    Hii, the university of denver has Pre-Med or Medicine??

    • @EllenGee
      @EllenGee  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mateus! The University of Denver does have a pre-med track, I believe many do a chemistry or biology major if they're doing pre-med.
