I just got my Bose headphones connected to my Smart TV thanks to this. Thank you so much for this video :-) Only thing that bothered me was that audio was playing on TV as well as Bluetooth headphones. I went to settings and told TV to use Audio Out and it shut the sound off, then I told it to use BT headphones and it works like a charm. Again. Thanks for this menu :-)
I have hearing loss so I need headphones while my wife can just listen through the TV speakers. So, the confirm, both can be active at the same time? Do the headphones have independent volume control?

Thank You. It works for the 1st Generation Smart TV with this setting. However with Smart TV later versions, the setting would be INFO - SETTING - MUTE - POWER ON. I have 2 tvs with different remotes.
I was so excited BUT then hit a dead-end. The SPEAKER SETTINGS MENU however, do not have the option for BLUETOOTH after I switched on BT in the ENGINEERING OPTION. HOW DO I GET THAT MENU OPTION VISIBLE.

Great video. I got to. the point where I can add a device (I didn't have that before accessing the secret menu). Unfortunately, I failed to pair with Apple AirPods or Bose portable speakers. Both are very easily "pairable". The TV is 65 inch Samsung that is less than a year old:( Not sure if I did anything wrong!

I was able to pair my jbl 225 yes wireless headphones to my Samsung smart tv but I wanted to adjust the volume in my headphones but the remote for the tv will not allow me. Hi, really appreciate this. I found the Bleu tooth on/off option and turned on. However in settings>Sound>Sound Output there is only 2 options, TV Speaker and Audio Out/Optical. Nowhere is there any other option.

Loved your video but I need help! INFO+MENU+MUTE+POWER didn't do anything, so I had to use MUTE+1+8+2+POWER instead to get to the secret menu. The problem is I don't have Engineer Option under the Option menu or anywhere else. I couldn't find BT_AUDIO_ON_OFF anywhere. I bought my Samsung Smart TV brand new in 2013 so I wonder if this is an older model which doesn't have this available. Hmmm I have the BT_Audio option in Engineer Option but even with that switched "On" i don't have the Bluetooth Speaker option. I also tried your suggestion but when i go into MRT I only have something that says - "BT Address" with a series of numbers and letters that looks like a specific BT address to pair with specific BT (Samsung) Devices perhaps? I am unable to change this BT Address it appears to be a fixed address. Any idea?

@@jrisles Under MRT Option I have "BT Support" and also the BT Address. I think the address is the mac address of the TV Bluetooth. Having said that, mine was on, and the BT headphones option still doesn't appear, on my 6500.

Great information . I tested it on my samsung and it works to get the"secret" menu... but the purpose is so another viewer can also hear the volume output from the tv itself while the person wearing the headphones keeps volume at their own higher level?
First the audio kept breaking up, second I had trouble understanding your instructions. Third I have a new 55” Smart Samsung TV. It comes with built in Audio Bluetooth ….no adapter required. Works fine.

Thanks for your interesting video I watched carefully. Unfortunately it did not solve my problem with connecting a Bluetooth Bose speaker directly to my Samsung TV. Only a Samsung speaker is accepted (probably). With your instructions I came easily in the menu of my Samsung TV, but the option BT was already ON. For being sure I changed it OFF and disconnect the TV. Started again the menu procedure and switched to Bluetooth ON. So far so good. But still no possibility to connect my Bose Bluetooth speaker. Hi. First think read the description. Make sure you have a bluetooth adapter hid hardware inside your tv. See the samsung specs. Look in our videos we have an video fix update

i Technology Reviews that answers my question. It has a basic Samsun catalogue of applications, which are very outdated. I can get Netflix and other basic apps but it does not have app’s that are on the newer Samsung TV’s
I am using Sony Android TV. In this case I can pair any branded Bluetooth headphone with my Sony TV. However, the audio in my headphone is interrupted sometimes. Do you feel any audio interruption in your case specially if the distance between the TV and the headphone is more than 2 meters? Just curious.

Any thoughts on how to enable this on the newer Samsung TV's? They have completely changed the Menu and Remotes so this video isn't really helpful except on older TV's.

I also had the same issue.. when u open the app.. select ur speaker setting once again to tv speaker and then to bluetooth speaker again and it worked in bluetooth headphone or speaker..

Hi thanks for assistance i was able to get the Bluetooth headphones list using steps provided. Only I can't find or pair with new Sony WH-100MX3. Application does not allow. Says no device found and refresh is not allowed. My question is can it be done, pair with Sony, or do you have to use Samsung Headphones? I tried a few times with what a user below provided . On my 2012 Samsung Smart tv there is no BT audio, theonly thing that seems like it would be is BT Upgrade. What do you think? There's also a Function Upgrade that's set to No
Hi. If you don t have an adress,( meaning an bluetooth ip) to the bluetooth it means that your tv does not have a bluetooth integrated (BT HID). Look into your model specifications on samsung.com.
Sadly this doesn't work for me. TV bought in 2013. I was able to turn BT_AUDIO_ON_OFF to ON, so far so good, but the Bluetooth headphones option never materializes. I have gone back to the 'secret menu' to confirm BT_* is still ON after a TV restart. All that works OK, the menu to select headphones however isn't there. If you have a hunch as to what to look for additionally to setting this option, do let me know.
You must have a BT (MAC) Address in the MRT menu showing. If you have that you're golden. If it continues to say "NOT SUPPORT" instead of showing 6 pairs of hexidecimal with colons in between, Bluetooth is not really activated or else not even physically present even though you think it is. I suspect but cannot prove it, but there may be a code to activate Bluetooth through the SVC/Upgrade/BT Upgrade entry. Just my suspicion that the hardware's really there but just not activated that way. This guy apparently had an easy fix, but different Samsungs require more than just turning that menu selection on. Turning mine on did nothing. There are also more Bluetooth settings than that one in the service menu on my TV (they're all turned on).

Hello, do you know how to connect my bluetooth headphones SENNHEISER RS 120 II to newest Samsung QLED TV with no 3,5 mm jack? I cannot find the answer anywhere. i Technology Reviews that answers my question. It has a basic Samsun catalogue of applications, which are very outdated. I can get Netflix and other basic apps but it does not have app’s that are on the newer Samsung TV’s

I am using Sony Android TV. In this case I can pair any branded Bluetooth headphone with my Sony TV. However, the audio in my headphone is interrupted sometimes. Do you feel any audio interruption in your case specially if the distance between the TV and the headphone is more than 2 meters? Just curious.

The MDR headphones in the video are Sony. I thought you had to use Samsung headphones. Is that not true? Do the BT headphones have to have Soundshare embedded in them? What BT headphones do you recommend in the $50 range? I have a Samsung un65nu8000fxza TV.
Umm so I found the engineering settings turned on bluetooth, but my sound settings menu is different, and no bluetooth headphones function appears 😥

My headphones got connected to TV and I could hear audio from settop box, but when I shift to Netflix, I can't hear any audio on my headphones
I also had the same issue.. when u open the app.. select ur speaker setting once again to tv speaker and then to bluetooth speaker again and it worked in bluetooth headphone or speaker..

Hi thanks for assistance i was able to get the Bluetooth headphones list using steps provided. Only I can't find or pair with new Sony WH-100MX3. Application does not allow. Says no device found and refresh is not allowed. My question is can it be done, pair with Sony, or do you have to use Samsung Headphones? I tried a few times with what a user below provided . A two step method that did not work. Any asstance would be appreciated.

On my 2012 Samsung Smart tv there is no BT audio, theonly thing that seems like it would be is BT Upgrade. What do you think?

Hi. If you don t have an adress,( meaning an bluetooth ip) to the bluetooth it means that your tv does not have a bluetooth integrated (BT HID). Look into your model specifications on samsung.com.

Sadly this doesn't work for me. TV bought in 2013. I was able to turn BT_AUDIO_ON_OFF to ON, so far so good, but the Bluetooth headphones option never materializes. I have gone back to the 'secret menu' to confirm BT_* is still ON after a TV restart. All that works OK, the menu to select headphones however isn't there. If you have a hunch as to what to look for additionally to setting this option, do let me know.

You must have a BT (MAC) Address in the MRT menu showing. If you have that you're golden. If it continues to say "NOT SUPPORT" instead of showing 6 pairs of hexidecimal with colons in between, Bluetooth is not really activated or else not even physically present even though you think it is. I suspect but cannot prove it, but there may be a code to activate Bluetooth through the SVC/Upgrade/BT Upgrade entry. Just my suspicion that the hardware's really there but just not activated that way. This guy apparently had an easy fix, but different Samsungs require more than just turning that menu selection on. Turning mine on did nothing. There are also more Bluetooth settings than that one in the service menu on my TV (they're all turned on).
