Sir as pressure is directly proportional to temperature , then how will the filament heat on reducing the pressure 🤔
P is directly proportional to temp in case of gases, here we are dealing with temp of filament and pressure of gas.
Low pressure, lower no of molecules that could carry heat- filament temp ( increases)
High pressure, more no of molecules to carry heat- filament temp ( decreases)
So as you start sucking air out of the system to which the device is connected, the air molecules around the filament start reducing , and the only mode left is radiative heat transfer.
Is it also called thermocouple vaccum gauge sir
