Jayne, you inspired me to declutter when you moved house. Even though your house wasn’t cluttered you had loads to move. I’m hoping to move this year and want it to be as easy as possible so I’m decluttering again. Justin 😂

Hi there from NZ! We've had rotten weather today too (it's meant to be summer and my husband just suggested lighting the fire!) and I have enjoyed listening to you while I tidied out our bedroom which seems to collect all manner of things under our bed! Curtain rails, books for the second hand shop- glad it's all done now though 🙂

De-clutter is certainly the aim for this month. We’ve used all the food we can, thank goodness so, we’ve now got a clean fridge and pantry!🎉 Lots more to get done. With you and Vivi for inspiration, I’m determined to lower spending too. Great to see you and happy new year to you and your family x

I’ve been eating up what’s in the fridge too. Tonight I’m making cauliflower cheese using double Gloucester with onion and sage. I hope it’s ok. Tomorrow I’ll make what we call “fridge bottom soup!” All the vegetables that need using up.

My little dog will walk in the rain with her jacket, poor dear!
I came off low carb for Christmas and boy do I look bloated and puffy from all the carbs!! My face shape has changed, not to mention my belly lol. Time to get back to real food.
I love Brie and I will have it on a burger or a steak to add flavour and fat to the meal. Yum!!
I hope it’s not too hard to get back to it. Brie is lovely melted I am finding.

January is my declutter month. One room at a time. It feels so good when I get everything cleared and to the charity shop. This year, I am finding clearing out historical paperwork from my files is the biggest job. I have managed not to collect much stuff from last year so clearing the kitchen cupboards has been a lot easier. When I buy anything new, especially clothes, something has to be donated to the charity shop in its place! I don’t allow myself to buy new hangers to accommodate new clothing items. This practice makes me think very hard before I commit to buying anything new.

Thanks as always for your lovely videos, they cheer me up. I’m back at work but wfh so no traffic. But I don’t enjoy my job so feel pretty miserable about that. One good thing though, I did get invited by a friend to join her book club 🤗

Thank you Jane. Your walk brought back memories of my parents, sister and I walking along the beach front in various parts of Kent on Christmas day with the dog(s). I'm having a quite January while I start to sort and clean my flat (a little overwhelming). I am also working from home at a slow and steady pace, finding my way back into it after a long break.

Hi Jane, we really didn't over indulge at Christmas, mainly because our Granddaughter was in hospital on a drip the week before and we were so worried about her. She was discharged just before the celebrations but we kept it low key. I went to bed at 10pm on new year's eve too! Such a party popper!
I intend this month to be a decluttering month too, lots of paper shredding and sorting out stuff and, in addition, for it to be a really low spend on everything, not just food. Our rent will increase in April (shared ownership property) and we want to create a better safety net regarding finances.
We usually sell things on eBay at this time of year to raise a bit of money towards bills and I'm shocked to discover that HMRC are seeking out people who sell 30 items or more and raise over £1000 per annum in order to tax them on sales. It's criminal when you are selling your own possessions to raise money! How will they differentiate sellers I wonder? The world is going mad 😮

Yes, I have heard that too! They make us poor, then stop us trying to keep our heads above water. I have to pay tax on my, but then I do sell stuff for profit. I hope your granddaughter is OK now.

Yes, I agree about keeping us poor. The HMRC should concentrate on taxing the big companies who get away with so much instead.
The cow dung will have ,LOTS of weeds..be careful if you're putting into the garden my love..I learned..the hard way...
Not really planning to pick it up! Dont need any more weeds I our garden either…
